It's not who wins the first debate that counts. It's who wins the election in November.

HCs team threw their best at him, and they failed to rattle the guy. He did just fine. Mark Cuban in the front row. What a whore HE is. And the moderator, to be fair, simply MUST fact check him!! WhineWhineCryCry. OMG. What a circus.

This is starting to sound just like the GOP primary. In they eyes of the pundits, he didn't do so well in those debates, either.

I don't know if that's true. Trump was declared a or the winner in the last few primary debates by the pundits. In the March 10 debate for instance, he was hailed as the big winner and then crushed the primaries on March 15. The ones the pundits said he lost were all the way back last year and Ben Carson did end up catching him in the polls for awhile back then.

Yeah, okay, whatever dude. Next you're going to tell me that Facebook questionnaire telling me which Backstreet Boy I'd be doesn't count.

(For the record, I'm totally A.J.).

Just fine? Did you see him on the tax returns? Lol.

Do you honestly think he did a good job or do you mean he just managed to not look any more crazy than usual? Because his answers at times were incoherent and rambling. He lied anou an untold number of things, denied every accusation even on things where we have him on video or on his Twitter account of him saying something yet denying ever having said it.

We need to be honest with ourselves. Hillary isn't the dishonest one in this election. Trump has taken that mantle and ran with it.

Sorry. You know I love you Maggie. But to be consistent, I reluctantly have to give you a facepalm. But I still love you anyways. It's okay.

Except that now FB knows you like BS Boys and will bombard you with ads for their products :)

LOL! You must have watched a different debate. They rattle the hell out of him. Now, I know, psychologically you don't want to face that, but he was so twisted out of shape the very next morning he blamed his performance on a bad mic and doubled down on his misogyny against the former Miss Universe.

We now return you to your 24/7 worship of the tiny god, Donnie Trumpo.

What would qualify as "rattled" to you? Literally defecating his pants on stage?

I agree with Maggie. I think Trump did OK. Granted, I wasn't expecting much, but what he did do was convey fairly effectively the basic premise of his campaign--that America isn't working well and electing career politicians like Hillary will just maintain the status quo. THAT message came across loud and clear. What message did Hillary get across during the debate? None that I can think of. I defy anyone to tell me what her campaign is about. I don't think she knows. That said, Trumps lack of preparations showed. But his performance didn't cost him any support and may have ,in fact, helped despite what those trapped in the elite media bubble believe.

Again, I thought he did just fine. He didn't lose any support by his performance. I wonder how many on the fence HC supporters had to think twice about her having THIRTY YEARS to make changes. I thought that was a great line. And true. Did he knock it out of the park? No. Did he have to? No again.

Again, no major gaffs on either side. IMO, HC won the debate. But that's not what matters.

Of course you think that. You worship the man.

Yes, there were major gaffes from Trump. You're just willfully overlooking them. He walked right into the traps she set for him.

Well, then, you have nothing to worry about.

You could be right on that. I'm just going off of what I remember hearing after the debates.(which I did not watch all of them) Seemed like the voices were pretty loud that he was getting outclassed.

How did you come to that conclusion?

No major gaffes? The entire second half of his debate performance was one long gaffe. Over the course of the debate, he devolved into incoherent rambling. He made inane references to Sean Hannity and Rosie O'Donnell. (Think about that! He stood on the world stage, in front of the entire American electorate and the world, and ranted about Rosie friggin' O'Donnell.) This is more than just a campaign for adulation. This is an interview to perform a job with very real demands and very real consequences. He came to that interview unfocused and ill-prepared. His performance was inexcusable.

It's only natural if you inhabit an alternate reality to believe yours is the real one. But sooner or later it crashes down on you as it did for Romney the night his certain victory perished before his eyes on a television screen. Not all polls are in the tank, and there is no denying the verdict of the science based national polls as of this morning that show Hillary both with a clear win in the debate and an edge up in the polls after losing much ground to Trump in recent weeks.

Last week, for example, fivethirtyeight had the race virtually even. Today it is 62/38 for Hillary.

Bubble is a term invented for the hard Right. Trying to turn it on the Left or on the mainstream media which has readily acknowledged Trump's rise, and insisting Trump did just fine, only illustrates it's aptness.

Lol. A certain Miss Universe contestant would probably disagree on how unrattled Trump was.

Trump wants the election to be a referendum on changing the status quo and he is the conservative candidate.

What a world we live in where up is down and down is up.
