Look at his face, he knows he's going to do nothing.

The only thing he feels is himself as President and his Party in power and this makes a good selling point.

Still, Democrats have the proven track record of reducing deficits and handing over growing economy, even FDR to Herbert Hoover.

What can these Republicans do in a crisis?

Hand out stimulus while they cut revenue further?

Remember their words, "Failed stimulus (for Obama)." And, "No raise revenue."

Making America great again wasn't a call for transformation, but for a regression - but you can't retreat to the past.

The Coronavirus, and the primarily Republican response, has brought the film Parasite to life - with the will-heeled working in isolation and safety of their homes, while the working stiffs go on the meat packing lines and get diseased so the well-heeled will get their meat.

The failure of this response, which includes inadequate support for those who have lost their jobs and no floor for small businesses, has resulted in armed men streaming into state capitals to demand the right to join those on the meat packing lines, and the right to a haircut.

In short, this country has been desperate for a transformation for a long time.

Doesn't say much about his fortune as a world diplomat, no.

Any regulation is dismissed by the right. Even safeguards and regulations protecting the basic human rights of American citizens, like the right to food, clean water, shelter, a basic education, and access to healthcare, are dismissed as communism or socialism and fought tooth and nail. This is not "reasonable".

You are apparently unfamiliar with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It was spearheaded by the US back in 1948. It's interesting how it's such an alien concept now and so much under siege, back where it started. That only used to happen in third world banana republics.

Because we are all prone to hitting hard times. when that happens, it's OK if someone can't buy a Rolex. It's not OK to watch their little boy die because the parents can't afford his asthma inhaler. Human rights are fundamentally different than other commodities on the free market.

LOL, the old "it was Bush's budget" bull****. I should have known. :roll: How does Bush get saddled with spending that didn't even exist in his budget? Bush didn't budget the Stimulus, for instance but Obama spent it. Fact also is that the President's "budget" isn't what gets spent. He submits it to Congress but Senate and House write their own Budget Memoranda and reconcile them to the final budget that the President actual signs.
