Does Bernie just hate capitalism and economic success as much as it seems? Socialism Bernie style.
Nobody pays. That has already been but in the bill.
Biden just reminded everyone that he plans to build on the ACA and have the Medicare for All option for those who want it. I think that's the most reasonable approach for this election.
You can't have a heavily subsidized public option without mandating that those not selecting it end up getting the bill for it.
That may be true, and I'm not an expert on any of this, but at least there would be a choice to select it or not. If it was forced on everyone, those who wanted to keep their private insurance would still help pay for the bill.
By all measure, the most useless debate so far.

I disagree, there were other debates that truly were useless. It's important to hear the two candidates who are running to be our President to be heard on some key issues. One of them will get the nomination and our votes, unless of course for those of us who are Trump Klan loyalists.
Not really. Biden seems to be commanding the debate right now. I won't vote for him, but he at least seems to have Bernie on the backs of his feet
It's so easy for Mexicans to enter America illegally, if we gave them free health insurance, they'd take advantage of us.
This debate is why Republicans capitalize.
My point is that a mandate to offer Medicare for all (who want it) is still robbing Peter to pay Paul - you simply can't make paying for it optional. The only reason that Medicare and Medicaid can now get away with paying "lower costs" is that the providers of medical care goods/services raise the cost charged to 'private' payers (to make up the difference).
Republicans will capitalize any time the dems focus on the far left issues. Bernie seems stuck on that song. Biden seems to at least be trying to pitch to the center.
..... if Republicans survive the Corona Virus crisis that they are currently royally screwing up; perhaps this may be relevant. As of right now, Trump's re-election prospects are pretty dismal.

I agree. Biden is speaking to all Americans, not just his supporters. Sanders won't give an inch to understand that not everyone is comfortable with the extreme left policies he stands for. I personally am fine with Medicare for All, but I'm no longer working and don't have a family to support. I just began to receive SS benefits this month, I'm fine regardless of who becomes President, even Trump won't affect me very much personally.
I'm very content with Joe Biden's messages tonight, he spoke well and spoke to all Americans. He is the better of the two to win the 2020 election. I hope when Sanders drops out, he'll also send a clear message to his supporters to do the right thing to avoid another four years of a Trump admin, which would be a threat to our democracy and our country.
Trump will be easily re-elected at this rate. Coronavirus fatigue will backfire on the democrats.
He never was going to be "easily re-elected" He remains an exceptionally unpopular President. Now more than ever, he looks exceptionally out of touch with reality. His opening statements at today's president conference exhibit 101. He has lost the economy and the stock market as things he can run on. When a crisis hit that required leadership he looks more inept than any person elected to the office of President since at least 1932.
Congrats on your retirement. I hope to live long enough to get to do that for at least a week or two.

but, you have your wishful thinking going for you. We all appreciate that Trump and many of his supporters are divorced from reality, getting most of their news from fact-free new sources. So, believe what you want to believe, but don't expect the outcome you think will happen to happen...
