he even believes making pence the sure-to-fail point man to resolve the corona virus was intended to give tRump a ready excuse to legitimize the changing ticket

would it be a wise play to swap VPs in an effort to better sway suburban house moms to pull the lever for the orange oaf ... at the potential risk of alienating the tRumpvangelicals

Imply blame on Pence for the admin Coronavirus response and go for Haley.
 
Personally I like the idea. IMO, Pence can't win in 2024 and I admire Halley. She would be a nightmare for whoever the Dems run.

Well, if Trump wanted to replace Mike Pence with Nikki Haley, he would have some measure of difficulty, because the Vice President cannot be fired by the President. Just like the President, the only way for a Vice President to be removed during his term of office is to either remove himself (resign), be found incapacitated, or be impeached.

pence would serve out the first term
nikki would be the replacement VP candidate for the second term

Its odd that a democrat strategist would be the one floating it but its not the worst idea.
