Since 2015, this forum has been an absolute battlefield when it comes to Donald Trump. Not just who he is as a person (a rapist, racist scumbag) a businessman (a con-man who has never once genuinely earned a single dollar in his life) and now as a President (a fascist.) But thankfully, for as evil, and as terrible as Donald Trump would like to be, he is kneecapped by a special blend of his ineptitude, petulance, and his laziness. His attention on any topic is fleeting at best. The only real policies of his that have come to pass are often ran by Trump appointees like Stephen Miller, and Betsy DeVos. But this thread isn't about Donald Trump; instead this thread is about one of Donald Trump's friends that is now running for President in Mike Bloomberg. The thesis of this thread is to highlight that Bloomberg's Presidency would forever compromise the United States and turn it into an oligarchy.
Bloomberg being a Billionaire has been a selling point of himself, and his supporters. The common misconception held is that if Bloomberg is already extremely wealthy, that he would not find himself beholden to the interests of the billionaire class. While it may be true that Billionaires are not beholden to other billionaires the way employees are beholden to their employers that comes at the cost of him being accountable to no one. During his four years of office, Bloomberg would have no reason to follow the actual wills of the people. He would continue the same policies and tax cuts that have been bankrupting our nation in order to better himself financially. Whereas Trump sees the office as a way to signal boost his brand, Bloomberg undoubtedly sees the public office as a way to both control Americans, and further enrich himself. Along with that, a Bloomberg presidency will forever make it impossible for any non-billionaire to ever win a US Presidential election. The president will forever be set that the fastest and most effective way to hold public office is to make an immoral amount of wealth. US elections will effectively come with a price tag, instead of an actual election.
Just on its face, we can already correlate Bloomberg and Trump with being rich, racist, sexist, sexual predators, and both deeply connected with human and sex traffickers, Jeffery Epstein. They've largely held the same political ideals and views for much of their lives. As mayor, Bloomberg continued Stop and Frisk, sic'd Police in riot gear on peaceful protestors, and then doxxed the identities of anyone who attend the "Occupy Wallstreet" protest. Donald Trump himself has used Federal Law Enforcement and sic'd them upon South American immigrants, ripping families apart and putting children in cages. Not to mention that Bloomberg and Donald Trump are both accused of sexual misconduct well over 50 times by numerous different women. There's an infamous photo on the internet of Bloomberg, Trump, Bill Clinton, and Rudy Gulliani playing golf together in 2008. If you continue to support Bloomberg with complete awareness of his past as a racist, sexist, sexual predator from New York then you might as well just rip the mask off and admit you would be wearing a MAGA hat if Trump was a Democrat.
There is no debate, and there is no way to budge me on the matter. Donald Trump is awful, he's a fascist, a sexual predator, and a racist old landlord. But he's also a sundowning old cook without the mental fortitude to see beyond using the office to go on fancy trips and get attention. a Bloomberg presidency would be all of the worst qualities of Donald Trump put on steroids. Do not vote for Bloomberg, do not volunteer for Bloomberg, and more importantly, do not accept any sort of money from Bloomberg unless you use 100% of it to trash Bloomberg and donate it to Bernie Sanders.
