Asked to attack Biden for his support of credit card companies:

“I have a difference of opinion with anybody who favors credit card companies over consumers”

Trump's bone spurs:

“I think it’s fairly obvious to most of us, took advantage of the fact that he was the child of a multimillionaire to pretend to be disabled so that somebody could go to war in his place.”

Is Trump a racist?:

“If you do racist things and say racist things, the question of whether that makes you a racist is almost academic ...The problem with the president is that he does and says racist things and gives cover to other racists.”

Trump's desire to pardon war criminals:

“If you are convicted by a jury of your military peers of having committed a war crime, the idea that the president is going to overrule that is an affront to the basic idea of good order and discipline, and to the idea of law, the very thing we believe we’re putting our lives on the line to defend.”

As Jennifer Rubin writes:

"In sum, Buttigieg stands out because he is remarkably disciplined, can effortlessly show expertise and projects authority on foreign affairs. Most of all, he displays the cool demeanor and wry humor that Democrats admired in President Barack Obama. After Trump’s irrational, loud, insult-driven rhetoric, it’s rather calming listening to Buttigieg."

I am almost surely voting for Warren, but I would love to see a debate between Buttigeig and Trump.

He is smarter than skate board boy and he is gay. The MSM loves that story line!

So iow, he is in lockstep with the anti Trump crowd. Just when the guy was growing on me, I read the same old "Trump the racist".
The flip side is, should he win the nomination, we mustn't critique him or else being called a racist and a homophobe for sure.
Again, having hopes for the guy, but not like this. He needs to show us what he's made of, truly and effectively distancing himself from the anti Trump crowd, running on his own merits.
As for a debate between B and T, I assume it will be one of elitist vs common talk. Why wait for something that is all to predictable.

LOL Booty-judge is effective? He's fading fast in the polls...

Both of them. Biden has got a huge edge in those polls that barring a scandal he's all but won the dem noms (but he'll lose to Trump anyway). Beto and Bootyjudge are non-factors.

Do we know Biden's running mate yet? Any rumors or good guesses?

I agree. He was the flavor of the month in April just like Beto was previously. It is way too early to pay attention to polls. Even though Biden is way ahead currently, I'm not convinced he will be the nominee. He has a lot of baggage that just might do him in.

I like Mayor Pete. In some circumstances I could see voting for him. He has the appeal of youth without the airheadedness of, say, Beto o'Roark. He is obviously intelligent and earnest. Some people have problems with the fact that he deals with ideas more than specifics. At this point he should be. Someone like Elizabeth Warren can do the I-have-a-plan-for-that style but it's too soon for Buttigieg.

He is not fading fast where it counts--Iowa and New Hampshire.

You are aware that Trump was hauled into Federal court for housing discrimination, settled by signing a consent order, and got hauled back in when he violated it.

Of course, he was king of the birthers in 2012.

But, naw, he can’t be a racist!

Trump never delt with specifics either, other than making airy empty promises that clearly had nothing behind them.

I don't know anything about buttigieg except that he's gay.

You make a good point here I think it's one Democrats running for office should heed. The anti Trump rhetoric is useless. Of course they're going to be anti Trump they're running against him that's a given. Campaign should be focused on people. I think of a Democrat did that they would win over a lot more people.

It's one reason I think Buttigieg is smart.

that’s all that tertiary trump and his moronic supporters would need against Mayor Pete. We’ve already seen DPosters giving Buttigieg ‘trumpling nicknames’ about his sexual choices.

We’ll see a further catering to the hypocrital evangelicals with abortion. DEMs still don’t see the danger here with both of these social issues.

The party of Richard Nixon, Roger Stone and Lee Atwater has only been about smearing politicians, especially in their own gop, with oppo research.

It’s settled history what Nixon and Reagan did during their first elections to commit treason. tertiary trump is just the latest.

I wouldn't hold that against buttigieg. That's just all I know about him.

Are we getting upset about nicknames now? If we want to be perturbed about that, please. Just lets not be hypocritical.

I know YOU wouldn’t. It’s just that the overall tribe that you run with would. It’s very difficult for Americans who are heavily conflicted between the parties on major issues to make that final choice for office.

GOPutins are hypocritical Patriots. Evangelicals are hypocritical Christians. There are not two sides to the facts, except in trump world.

Nicknames are how your dear leader rose to power, against his own party, and you support that. He has zero on issues, just division of America. Cute drive-by though.

Pete is polling 4%, tied with Injun' Liz for 5th. And that's effective?

He's also gay. In libroland that's worth 2 points.

Not sure what you are on about. Did evangelicals elect him to sainthood or to the wh?

Oh my, do I ever wish he'd stop that nonsense. As for issues, I think he listened to what is important to the average joe. Good on him. I wish other candidates would listen as closely.

What strikes me as interesting is
We’ve already seen DPosters giving Buttigieg ‘trumpling nicknames’ about his sexual choices.
Lets hope one mustn't put a shield around him because of his sexual choice ( although I've been told it is not a choice).

So, in the leftist dictionary spewing mindless prattle is the definition of "being effective"?

I know YOU wouldn’t. It’s just that the overall tribe that you run with would.
I don't have a tribe.
It’s very difficult for Americans who are heavily conflicted between the parties on major issues to make that final choice for office.
I understand that not everybody views politics the same way I do.

Probably why I don't know more about buttigieg.
