Kavanaugh: Is all this stuff why they wanted to do it quick?

In other words: you don't even know what you're talking about.
That's not what I said.

I said I don't know about that article specifically.

What I do know is based on one of the images of Kavanaugh's 1983 Georgetown prep yearbook page, and discussion of it, in a video or two I've seen online.

Congrats. One of the best posts on this issue. Very thought-provoking.
And now the GOP senators are scheduling his confirmation vote for this Friday. They will push this through no matter what.
I just hope the backlash will be terrible and they'll lose badly the midterms, including, losing the Senate.
There will be a political price to pay if they rush this nomination through, and later the accusations are found to be factual.

Double thumbs up to this scenario they all look like a bunch of asses, I hope people remember how they stalled to get a seat on the SCOTUS from Obama.

Maybe it's stating/asking the obvious, but I'm thinking that the reason republicans wanted to get through the confirmation fast is because they knew there was some dirt that would arise if it went on too long.

Personally I become more convinced he is unworthy of the position the more I hear/read, especially that yearbook thing.

I don't want one of the final arbiters of our justice system being that kind of asshole.

Uhhh...no. It has everything to do with getting in before the mid-terms. I seriously don't understand why everyone is just so confused as to the motivation.

"All this stuff" is absurd. Two are totally anonymous - no name whatsoever. Just a short unsigned letter with address. That is literally nothing. It could have been written by anyone on this forum. Another has already recanted - just a nutcase.

That leaves 2. Of those, that one accuser literally told other people she was not sure who it was. So that is nothing. That goes back to ONLY one - Dr. Ford. All 4 witnesses SHE named have said it didn't happen. 100% of all witnesses say her story is false.

That leaves none. There is no "stuff." Just absurdities and unlimited corruption by the Democrats in Congress.

You need an update. Four people have just filed sworn statements (the equivalent of a deposition under oath, subject to perjury charges if false) to the Senate supporting Dr. Ford's claims. By the way, all four say that she has mentioned this to them way before this nomination for the SCOTUS happened, which puts a wrench in the absurd assumption that she made it all up once Kavanaugh was nominated to the Supreme Court.

There is no substance to these allegations. How could you not understand that by now? And how is this nomination being rushed? Clearly you need to find new sources for your news.

Rush...lmao

85 days....and lots of delays

You are just still pissed off about Garland....get over it

Obama was told not to submit the name...he did anyway....there was no consent procedure....there never was going to be one

And if we have a president with less than a year left, and you have control of senate, we expect you to do the same

Average time to confirm. 25 days.....lately maybe 45-50....this is almost double that

Rush my ass

Who do you think is already sitting on the court that is an asshole?

Frankly, I don't really recall or know enough about them to say.

That's nothing. A false accusation is a false accusation no matter how many people it is told to. She claimed specific witnesses were present and all say it didn't happen. What she told others does not constitute a witness to anything.

Well if he's innocent then this is the reaction on the Republican Party for how they behaved for the first black President. So Ha Ha. I hope they get to stall you till 2020. Just this this guy is going to tell women they can't have an abortion? Thanks Republican Party, I can see you have your head straight up your *******. I've been wondering about Trump and his numbers, but I will stop and do it no more.

That is the trouble with hyper leftist character judges. If they are judging a conservative , to them the conservative is an asshole but it they are judging a leftist then the leftist deserves some decency and respect.
