It's a possibility at least that Trump won't be re-elected in 2020.

Any thoughts as to his successor?

As a moderate independent, I can only hope that the Democratic Party doesn't do something stupid: like re nominate Hillary, or nominate someone like Bernie Sanders.

I'd love for Rubio to run and beat Trump in the primary

I'd like to see a Progressive. but what we will likely get is a Democrat on the outside, Republican on the inside.

Hard to imagine Republicans winning that one, at least not without more Russian 'help'.

Ever hear the name Kennedy...

I'm all in for Bernie Sanders Time will tell.

Rubio or Kasich.

Rubio or Kasich.

Rubio might win the nomination, but he'd get hammered in the general election. He was a rising star, but he hasn't handled a lot of things as well as he might have, in the last couple years.

Kasich always polls in the single numbers. Newsweek gives Rubio a 33 to 1 shot, and Kasich a 60 to 1 shot.

I think they are opimistic. Kasich has no change whatsoever. He's a moderate in a party that stabs moderates in the back. Yeah, that's gonna work.

That would depend on who the Dems put up. Rubio would have beaten Clinton, IMO.

Kasich would be a great President. I'm finished with the showmen and clowns like the one in the Oval Office today. It's time for a adult who knows what he's doing.

I voted for Rubio in 2016 and still consider him my #1 choice.

You will first have to drive a stake in the vampire's heart.

Don't miss.

Or Huntsman.

Huntsman is probably the smartest GOP politician I've seen in years. Your party blew their chance with that one. Apparently a significant portion of the GOP base prefers conspiracy theory pushing Reality T.V. Stars who bang porn stars over someone like Huntsman.

Rubio likes to vote party line and then decry the inevitable piss-poor results afterwards. Dude never learns.

Personally, I think Rubio blew his chances when he supported that gang of 8 bill. Ever since then, the Republican base as a whole never trusted him again. Even though Trump is a flip flopping lying fraud, his so called "hardline stance" on immigration is what made him popular with a significant portion of the GOP base. Even Romney in 2012 had to pander to the far right with talk of "self deportation".

By Progressive, do you mean Socialist?

What are the outcomes you object to rising in the Trump administration?

All the metrics seem to be pretty good and improving.

How's your 401K doing?

Hmm...

And here I thought the Dems were pushing the conspiracies.

What ever happened to the whole colluuuuusion thingy?

Any of those people have more integrity in their little finger than Trump. I'm hoping the Democrats get moving soon with a reasonable candidate. If this person shows interest too early, right wingers and the Russians will no doubt endlessly troll/harass him/her.

Lots of interesting comments here.

I'd take Trump over any of the Republican Candidates, they'll keep the same tax program so how will they be any better. I think President Trump is doing a great job except for his tax bill.

I think Mrs. Clinton would have lost to just about any Republican Candidate because of her Benghazi stain, but I'm all for doing it again.

I'm wondering about putting all my chips (turn the resonant mind) on the Green Party at the proper moment but I'm not sure this wouldn't just make the Democrat loose. I guess it wouldn't be so bad having the Unions running everything. They would get their legislation and Constitutional Amendments passed and then they would be just like the Churches and Congress could make no law regarding them and then we would live in a world where two things were certain; taxes and Union dues and people would cry about both of these (as they lived forever).

Green Party won't work either because their stance on war won't work as long as people are slaughtering the cow.

I lament not running myself, or maybe I will, Trump has lowered the bar for me and if you have Hillary/Trump again well, this is just the degradation I need for the people to swing my way, but I've been taking medication for my schizophrenia and no longer want to hurt myself this bad, and believe me, I could hurt myself really bad. I don't even want to hurt myself as bad as running would.
