The tyranny of the majority definition from Wikipedia:
Name one instance in the history of the US when the country was threatened with such a "majority".
It just doesn't happen in the US by means of the election-box.
If there is any oppression of a racial-group, it is by means directly of the nation's "social context". As is the case of blacks in America who have not been able to fulfill the promise once espoused by Martin Luther KING.
They are a people who are oppressed economically, as shown here:
Most will explain the above as due to
insufficient effort by the black-population ...
I agree that Blacks in America are not taking advantage of the opportunities they have been presented. What would you suggest to be a good remedy for this?
I would have liked to have seen Barrack Obama giving commencement addresses, touring Black Communities and and organizations and repeating this message endlessly:
You're black. I am, too. Look at me. You CAN be me. Study hard! Work hard! Take pride in accomplishment and make yourself better every day. The only person who can help you and who will help you every day, is you.
Instead, he said that they have a bad deal, only Obama could help and they need to vote for Obama. Now THAT is the recipe to create the chart you display.
I really don't care about the effort put forth by any "population". I care about the effort put forth by every individual.
Until anyone understands, embraces and acts on the fact that they are responsible for the outcome of their own life, they are lost. That's just the way it is.
Poems - If--

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
