In the current culture, I thought it may be interesting to see what folks would think of an all female Dem ticket in 2020. I have my own ideas, save for later. Obviously you know who is not an option. This could be a winner for the Dems in 2020 provided the top of the ticket was a centrist and does not come with the name Clinton.

So, it will be a minority ticket as well with Pocahontas?

Go for it.

Nothing worse than bitching women ... especially when they're past their "prime" and think they have "experience and knowledge".

Think ... Nasty Women

This thread is already proving that GOPosters have learned less than ZERO from trump, bannon and moore...

If there is an all female ticket, It might not have lizzie at the top, or even on the ticket. Too much baggage.

There are few things that influence my vote less than what is between a candidates legs.

Ah ha;)

Warren is not a Centrtist, therefore a bad choice for the top spot.

I know you Adorables must have seen the title thread and ooooh a Hillary bashing thread

Go back under your bridge troll, and help Uncle Roy recount his votes, after you sit on his knee.:2wave:

Did I mention Hillary? Or Roy?

So much for semi intelligent debate.

The thread subject is: 2020 Dem Female Ticket

I think our next Democratic ticket should have a male VP to balance it.

I agree what is between their ears is far more important

Kamala Harris appears increasingly more interested in testing the waters. As much as I like her, she has a polarizing effect on too many GOP voters. I also doubt she can win over enough Independents to win a General Election. If she teamed up with Warren, I do not see that ticket winning in the General Election either.

We need DEM candidates that can successfully navigate the Electoral Map.

That was my point, Which makes me a:

Adorable Hillary bashing under bridge troll who helps Uncle Roy recount his votes, after I sit on his knee.

I don't believe I've ever conversed with you. Where on 'Earth' are you from? Condolences for being here before the 2012 elections. I came on after Sandy Hook, 5 years ago today, and now my 64th B'day. How does a guy sing to his wife, 'will you still need me, will you still feed me', with that memory?

My IL-16 CD has a Bannon/Ryan proxy primary, as I live in deep Reagan DEM country. GOP Rep. Kinzinger, for whom I'll cross over to vote. IL--17, also won by trump, has a very strong DEM Congresswoman in Cheri Bustos, my kind of Blue Dog, rising star.

And now I believe we're seeing the Yellow Dogs rise from the ashes. Sen. Jones won't be the last. Yet GOPs are clearly on the rise in the Northeast, especially with governors ...

you sounds like a character in lord of the rings... or game of thrones lol...

I like her too, but she is black, and is a woman. People lost their minds when a black man won president. I think they might spontaneously combust if a black woman wins.

Yes, and who knows what they are doing. I think we have taken this "everybody can be president" experiment a little too far. Shouldn't be too hard to find someone who knows what they are doing, and also has scruples.

When is a woman past her prime? Considering the American penchant for electing geriatric men.

Tulsi Gabbard would m make a nice VP pick.

I've been most impressed with Senator Warner and Representative Schiff. They aren't stage thrillers, I know, but they've handled themselves very well throughout this investigation process (and, to be frank, I think we could use a quiet Presidency after this crap filled whirlwind). I think for a presidential candidate, I would be fine with Gilibrand or Harris.

she's a lightweight in terms of her actual accomplishments but quota lovers dreams. A woman a year behind me in college is being mentioned. I wasn't all that impressed with her in college since she seemed incurious about politics then but she is a labor populist without all the baggage of Lieyawatha and has far more actual intelligence than quota-woman

Amy Klobuchar of Wisconsin.

Minnesota, brother, and up for one of two Senate elections next year in MN. MN, another so-called blue state HRC only won by 44,000; 4 DEM CDs in trouble; term-limited DEM Gov. Dayton; both chambers GOP, one by one member, a crucial state next year.

Sen. Klobuchar would sit in a good position for 2020. She'll be hard for the GOP to slut-shame, along with the rest of their smear tactics. If Sen. Brown wins in your OH next year, he becomes great VP fodder.

Right now, a Baker/Sandoval ticket is my favorite, two excellent and popular governors who know wtf they're doing, which we'll sorely need beyond all of our comprehensions in 2021 ...

All woman ticket?

Sure.

Tulsi Gabbard, Elizabeth Warren, Nina Turner in any combination.

Enough of these 'centrist' good cop corporate sellouts and establishment darlings; if we go that way, then we have truly learned nothing from the loss of the Blue Wall and Dem electoral failure in general. Centrism and third way Dems have been prominent since Bill Clinton, and, paired with an overemphasis on social justice issues (which are important but cannot crowd out more substantive policy, particularly on matters of the economy), have presided over electoral disaster for our party since the time of Obama's initial election (who, at his most popular in 2008, ran as an economic populist with fresh ideas in the face of the Great Recession, even if he ultimately proved otherwise).
