Why Do Uneducated Poor White Americans Consistently Vote Republican?

So here's a real question if the Obama administration was so far left and was out to get your guns. Lol.
Now your party controls the house the Senate and the oval office. Are your guns still at risk of being taken? SMH uninformed GOP voters.

I don't have a party. And generally restrictive gun legislation is done at the municipal at state level.

I smell a class warfare argument being made. A good policy works for everyone and treats everyone equally. The idea that you use one group of people to help another group of people has nothing to do with justice or good governing.

Naw no point.

:lamo Yeah, blaming other people for poor peoples problems is something Bernie knows well. Who does Bernie Sanders blame for poor peoples problems? Oh right, rich people. What is his solution to that problem? Oh right, take the rich mans property. So yeah, Bernie knows what he is talking about when he talks about politicians calling certain groups of people the enemy of poor people. Bravo Bernie, for diagnosing yourself on accident.

Do they? Roper doesn't break it down by race and income. But those who made below 50,000 went to Clinton 53-41 over Trump. They went to Obama 60-38 over Romney, 73-25 Obama over McCain, 57-42 Kerry over Bush II, 54-42 Gore over Bush II and so on.

Since whites made up 70% plus of the electorate, I would say it a safe assumption most poor whites voted Democratic since all other races made up less than 30% of the total electorate.

uneducated, it's true those with a high school or less went for Trump 51-46 over Clinton. But in 2012 the high school or less went to Obama 53-46, Roper didn't include education breakdown in their 2008, 2004 or 2000 stats. So all I can give you is 2012 and 2016. The uneducated went for Obama and then for Trump. Whatever that means.

But come to think of it, it probably means the uneducated didn't care for or like Romney much, then they didn't care or like Clinton much.

Because they think that they can hurt black people more than they hurt themselves by doing so. And of course, plutocrats like the Koch brothers can exploit this blind rabid racism to hurt them both and just ride them all like a bunch of donkeys.

Don't believe me? Take it from Republican Lee Atwater, senior Republican strategist during Reagan's campaign, in this interview from 1981:

Atwater: As to the whole Southern strategy that Harry Dent and others put together in 1968, opposition to the Voting Rights Act would have been a central part of keeping the South. Now [Reagan] doesn't have to do that. All you have to do to keep the South is for Reagan to run in place on the issues he's campaigned on since 1964 ... and that's fiscal conservatism, balancing the budget, cut taxes, you know, the whole cluster...

Questioner: But the fact is, isn't it, that Reagan does get to the more racist Wallace voters and to the racist side of the Wallace voter by doing away with legal services, by cutting down on food stamps?

Atwater: You start out in 1954 by saying, "Ni--er, ni--er, ni--er." By 1968 you can't say "ni--er" — that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states' rights and all that stuff. You're getting so abstract now [that] you're talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you're talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites. And subconsciously maybe that is part of it. I'm not saying that. But I'm saying that if it is getting that abstract, and that coded, that we are doing away with the racial problem one way or the other. You follow me — because obviously sitting around saying, "We want to cut this," is much more abstract and indirect than even the busing thing, and a hell of a lot more abstract than "Ni--er, ni--er."

Best Bernie campaign support speech ever.
I agree with all it. Lol
Now how do we take rich folks money?

Because this is who they Evil asses are.

The reason is simple: They are unable to think for themselves probably because they do not have the innate capacity to do so. They need someone to tell them what to do. Look at this Fields fellow at Charlottesville. He failed the military.

Allegedly, Trump became a republican because he considered them to be the dumbest political party around. They readily listen to Fox News and eat up without question whatever Trump tells them.

Poor whites might not have any wealth...but in their mind they're equal to rich whites on the social ladder and blacks are at the bottom. Poor whites have fought against equality for blacks since the civil war...to the KKK...to Jim Crowe... to the fight against civil rights...to the mass incarceration of blacks that we see today. Poor whites simply don't want to be equal to blacks...or to compete with them for jobs...or allow them to own property or get an education...or to intermarry with whites...or even to vote....because that might make blacks their equals....or worse...their superior.

But there are many places where blacks are superior to whites (in the work place).

I might not have donned on you, but many rich people vote republican also.

Correction: You meant "dawned" which means a rising (of the sun, of knowledge, of wisdom).

Republicans fall into two groups: the rich and greedy or the dumb and ignorant.

Because Democrats actively support policies that lead to their dispossession. Mass immigration and section 8 aren't exactly policies that help whites.

Actually, white people benefit a lot more from welfare than black people. And I don't just mean in absolutely numbers (which would be obvious, since there's a lot more white people).' I mean that poor white people are more likely to be getting welfare than poor black people.

So... no, that's not the reason. Try again.

Where's the proof? Because you have that completely wrong.

I'm sure it won't change your mind, because all you care about is your make-believe and your dogma, but sure, since it's literally a 2-second Google away.

That's a very odd way of measuring, "federal programs reduced poverty among working-age whites without a college degree." Why not instead just look at how many people of a certain race are using the programs? Why this convoluted approach, and why should I think that it's a superior approach?

Hi,
Seems to me that wedge issues are high on their list. Abortion and gay rights to name two. Neither issue will enhance their lives if the legislators successfully outlaw them. But those poor whites will feel good about it. And at the same time those same legislators will vote tax breaks for the wealthiest one percent, limit the effectiveness of organized labor by "Right to Work laws. Undo medicare and social security. All of which are contrary to those poor whites self interest. The question is, do they know this?
