I should thank you for meat inspectors?... if you are a vegetetarian, I guess I do :)... Seriously, I thank you and the rest of the country, plus FDR, Nixon, LBJ, Obama, etc, for the benefits of our liberal (in the classic sense of the word) democracy... I am sure you thank me for the taxes I pay --- not as much since retirement --- that subsidize your life as well. Even Ayn Rand, that old "taker," collected social security and maybe Medicare.

But you still haven't told me which functions of government you would eliminate.
