NY and CA make up that 3m vote difference which is why we have the EC in place to prevent 2 states from picking the president something that the Founding fathers didn't want to see happen.

Also *48%* of Gen X (36-51) vote for dems and even 45% of Boomers and given how few under 30s vote, no not even close to a majority of dem votes comes from that age group

Under 25 might not have much life experience, but they're sure more educated than Trumpites - only 36% of grad students voted for a republican, and they're becoming less and less educated. Back during Clinton I it was basically 50/50

Well obviously Trump supporters are. That is why this election is so destructive and disastrous for the country as a whole. For decades Right Wing nut jobs have claimed that there is a "silent majority." It is made up of White Christians who believe in White "culture" and christian values, who are under represented in the media because they're afraid to be accused of being racists. They believed that even though their beliefs were scorned and looked down upon by elites they're ideas were more wide spread and powerful than estimated.

This election gave these people all the evidence they needed to continue believing this bull****. This election gave the KKK hope. It allows them to believe that they can crawl out from under the rocks and hoods they've been hiding under for decades and breath fresh air knowing that this is still their country. I don't give a **** what you thought about Hillary Clinton the damage that this has done to America may be irreparable for decades.

Just the ability of these people to hold their head up high and believe they're not alone makes stomping out there disgusting beliefs that much harder.

I will agree. There are things about trump I do not like, but they are not as bad as Clinton.

So far trump has done nothing that is extreme or really all that bad. people are blowing things out of proportion and the liberal media is still
butt hurt from being embarrassed once again. are they going to give him a fair chance? no they aren't.

I can definitely foresee another flip of blue/red states and the dems will just become the proudly anti-intellectual party. Both parties are scum in this way. Putting one's hope in the dems is almost as equally futile. What needs to be done is to either splinter from uneducated states or communities, or make them educated. And frankly i find the idea of splintering more likely

What gets me is the false basis of the entire philosophy, and I can't help myself ask how much of a role the media plays in that. Here, a man recently spouted off in a crowded McDonal's, seconds after a dark skinned man had left, that Canada must immediately do what Trump "has done" and ban all Muslims.

When asked he could not cite ONE terrorist plot, not attack, but a plan to harm Canada from the outside. But, he did not seem to care that every attack we HAVE faced, has come from within. He was old enough to remember Canadian Forces soldiers patrolling the streets in Montreal during the 1970 FLQ crisis, even living in Vancouver he was forgetful of the Air-India bombings...

But Donald Trump say's "they" are steeling in, so we must build a wall.

That kind of "belief" surpasses any religion and becomes something of a cult.
