Obama: I won't leave on Jan 20

We all know he's a classless piece of ****. There's no way he's going to show President Trump the same courtesy that he received from President Bush.

So he's not allowed Freedom of Speech when he leaves office? You'll have to cite that caveat from the Constitution.

What he said was he won't quietly fade away, but may criticize Trump. The horror! People criticizing the Great One? That can't be allowed!

We were told that is racist.
So I wonder if it is true now still.

Conservatives are the first to bring race into it yet again.

If it makes you feel better, you can imagine anything Obama says as being his white half.

Sure, but his excercise of that will confirm what a putz he is.

Nope the left made it perfectly clear that criticizing Obama was racist.
so if you want to apply the same logic then criticizing trump should be considered racist as well.

if it isn't and it is ok to do so then the left really was just doing their usual appeal to emotion when it
came to Obama.

it is usually tradition for the former president to step out of the way for the new administration.
nothing says they have to but to overtly try to undermine the next administration shows just how
much character Obama lacks.

I can only assume by 'he' you meant the OP, since a former President planning on being an active citizen seems to be neither classless nor clownish.

when you purposely say you are going to try and undermine the next president yes it very much is classless and clownish.

There is something sadly ironic about this post. The Examiner article quotes Obama as saying that he's going to remain active politically. Presumably, this means he'll make some speeches or other such stuff. Maybe he'll run for Congress.

Isn't it his right to do these things? And now, a conservative poster (where conservatives often rail against liberals for wanting to curtail the rights of individuals) is calling for him to be prosecuted if he chooses to exercise his rights as a citizen.

You can't make this **** up no matter how much meth you smoke.

What the ****? Talk about criminal charges for speaking publicly is a lot more than seeking to curtail the rights of individuals. These people want to silence or jail all critics. In Cuba you hear **** like that, not the United States, or didn't.

The Brave New World has arrived.

The point is that tradition cuts both ways. If Obama wants to jettison the tradition of not interfering with the new President, then it's fair play to jettison the tradition of not carefully examining a former President for criminal wrongdoing when he was in office.

The point is not that there is a comparison between curtailing rights and jailing people, but that there isn't.

Since when is speaking your mind interfering or violating some tradition? There has to be probable cause for an investigation, and if there is, an investigation should be done. If there is not, then no investigation should be done. Investigations of someone should have exactly jack-squat to do with whether that someone speaks their mind politically. Your tying one to the other would be absurd if it weren't also a page taken from the Stasi playbook.

THe demons on the Right must be strong. You all see boogiemen at every turn.

The irony here coming from the person who sees Putin hiding behind every corner.

Hey...don't piddle yourself in fear with made up things.

Putin is in front of the curtain, dude. He's front and center.

There are certain decorums that if Obama doesn't want to follow, work both ways. Obama wants to break the "one President at a time" tradition, then Congress should dispense with the tradition of not investigating wrongdoing with the associated prosecution of misdeeds he did while in office. Fast and Furious along with Bengazi come to mind.

Obama: I won't leave on Jan 20 | Washington Examiner

you should read the article before you post foolishness.

I watched his address. He never said "I won't leave on Jan. 20th". He simply said that together we'll all continue to work to better our country.

Observation: You didn't read the article because your comments don't match up to what the article said.

I'm glad others commented on this. The OP is just another perfect example of what is wrong with politics today on both sides. People simply making up the news and lies and claiming them as legit and facts. So sad.

So you advocate using the justice system against people who criticize sitting Presidents. Would you say that has closer resemblance to the description of a democracy or a dictatorship?

How about he and Trump play a little one-on-one for the White House. The first one to die of a heart attack loses.

I am guessing Trump will croak in about 2 minutes...after his face turns the brightest shade of red imaginable. His last words being; 'I wish I could have married my eldest daughter'.

Then Obama can do the same with Hillary...I would give her about 30 seconds before she falls, face first on the court. Her last words being; 'I wish I could have married Trump's eldest daughter'.

Then Obama serves another eight years. His first words after the games being 'I wish I was married to Trump's eldest daughter'.

I think all three are/will be/would be lousy POTUS's.

But even I think Obama is better than those other two.

both sides? really? I just don't see a concerted effort from one side to keep their base in a constant state of fear and anger with non-stop lies and spin. here's a short list. Please let me know if you can think anything that even comes close to that list.

President Obama was born in Kenya
His BC a forgery
He wants to kill old people
the stimulus will cause hyper inflation, dollar collapse, market to zero
the auto bailout was an illegal bankruptcy/union bailout
QE is inflating the market
the vile and disgusting "stand down" lies.

THe demons on the Right must be strong. You all see boogiemen at every turn.

Fear is a greater motivator than the strongest substance known to man.

These asshats have been creating fears about terrorists under every bed, of course they see boogie men everywhere.

When Canada announced it would take in 25,000 Syrians [It became 64,000] the Trump crowd lost their minds...."they will rape your women.." was the most notable. We now have 64,000 of them and so far none of them has committed a crime....but they still shrilly insist every Muslim of Mexican who enters the country is a terrorist rapist.

Trump's people are everything ophobic.

I don't think Obama will give Trump the same respect GW Bush gave him. I think that is a give me from all that has transpired since Trump won the election. In the OP link he made it perfectly clear he was going to fight for his progressive ideological agenda.

He is staying in Washington for his daughters to graduate from school. Oh really? They can''t finish out their schooling before college in another private school oh say in Hawaii or his hometown of Chicago? Oh really?

While the Republicans are fired up to end Obamacare, Obama is meeting with Democrats this week on how to save or thwart the efforts of the Republicans.

It doesn't look like Trump will enjoy getting his picks for his cabinet either without a fight even though Obama did.

You know what?......If they keep the happy horse sh** in 2018 where several Democrats in Red States are up for re-election in Congress where We the People say "Enough" once more. and the Democrats find themselves wanting greatly.

Democrats including Obama haven't come to grasp with the American people reject their policies. Cue up Chopin's Death March when they finally get it.

Good!

Let's make it the GOP's Waterloo.

That is statistically very unlikely.

That is statistically very unlikely.

Other then perhaps traffic, littering or shoplifting it probably is.

Only families were brought in, no single males (the most likely to commit crimes). Many had to be sponsored to come over, the sponsor group most likely has helped them adjust to Canada, and spent time with the family.

I don't keep track of nonsense I ignore it from both sides so I don;t have them memorize. I do remember people claiming bush planned 9/11 though and said he is keeping gas prices high for his friends.
If you think its only ONE side you are part of the problem.

oh, you were discussing random people saying dumb things when you said "both sides are the same"? I was discussing lying narratives pushed by the conservative media and republicans that were believed by large numbers of conservatives. Is is possible that since there is a concerted effort from the right to keep their base in a constant state of fear and anger with non-stop lies and spin there might actually be more random people of the right that say dumb things.

Does me stating that make me part of the problem?
