And why? It is not so much what he did and say, it is just the fact that many voters have shown disgust of the candidates and obviously enough voters wanted to take a risk with him. As some people I know did.

The question is: he claims he will turn things upside down. But can he really? It is very likely many voters will find themselves sorely disappointed in less than a four year span.

But this will all be interesting. Another Clinton in the White House? I do not think so.

I have some serious misgivings about Trump. I'm registered Right To Life, a party not even recognized in New York anymore, so I vote straight Conservative. So my vote is AGAINST the lying witch and not so much for Trump. I wish the GOP had put up a more palatable candidate that I could rally behind.

If Trump loses, this will the biggest waste of time spent and it will all be for nothing.

Trump is the winner only if he wins... its that damn simple.

Too soon to say, but day-um, I did not expect this.

Its still early.

But trump may win without your support

Agree totally. Talk about mixed feelings here. I half believed the best case scenario was Hillary winning, but just barely which still may be the case.

She needs 61 and the most she can get is 40 without flipping states. I don't see how she can still win.

I also just noticed that Pennsylvania might be turning red late. If he gets Pennsylvania it's over and I bet she will give up.

And Trump will be the only winner. He just does not have the temperament or qualifications to be president. And that does not bode well for the country. It is predicted within 100 days there will be voter remorse. Oh those losers.

The reason is has won is because many voters out there were absolutely disgusted with the way things are. And they listened to his many promises that he was able to tap into.

If the dems were smart (which obviously they were not) they should have taken Bernie Sanders. But the dems are too much enmeshed with the elites and were not capable of making such a change. That is there big loss.

My best guess right now is that the rust belt and south fell for the "I'll bring back jobs" line. Clinton never effectively countered that.

She did badly pretty much everywhere though. If you look at the states she won her returns weren't up to par overall.

Sure, but I didn't see Michigan and Ohio falling for it. At least Michigan is making a fight of it.

A lot of people who voted for Trump were not voting for him, but against the establishment. This is a dark day, and not for the partisan reasons that most people are talking about.

I am concerned about this outcome on a number of fronts.

Republicans control Congress, Trump is President, and he is in a position to appoint 2 or more Supreme Court Judges in the coming years. That is total control of government.

I don't feel that Trump can be tamed by the internal powers and unseen strings that normally control excessive Presidential power. He is the archetype of the worst features of American culture, now running the country, now controlling the nuclear arsenal. There's not much humanity left at the upper levels.

His appointment also means that the radical right element in America will now feel vindicated and emboldened, including all the hateful tropes we've seen played out during this election. You can tell because all of Trump's proxies who are appearing on the news networks right now are behaving like vindictive bad-winners in a really aggressive way.

We've entered a completely unpredictable and unprecedented period in the history of our politics, such that even our political system has become a social ill.

The powers behind the government have been working for years to dumb America down and decrease freedoms, but the supreme irony here is that the guy coming to power who could seize on the opportunities they created isn't even in their pocket. Trump is a total wild card. Regardless of what happens next, we will live in interesting times, and uncharted territory.

It's time to put Clinton's ass in prison.

That s a very angry post.

You should hope that the winners in this election are not as vindictive and hateful as the losers.
