Wasserman Schultz had to resign. Will Brazille have to resign in the coming weeks?

Heads up from Brazile to Hillary the day before a debate against Sanders?
On the campaign trail, candidates need to be ready for any sort of question — and perhaps Clinton had a bit of extra preparation for this one. In a leaked trove of emails concerning Clinton campaign Chairman John Podesta, there appears one with the heading, “From time to time I get the questions in advance.” The email was written by Donna Brazile, who was then a CNN contributor and a reputable Democratic strategist. Here’s the text of the email, which was sent a day before the town hall:
Here’s one that worries me about HRC.

DEATH PENALTY 19 states and the District of Columbia have banned the death penalty. 31 states, including Ohio, still have the death penalty. According to the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty, since 1973, 156 people have been on death row and later set free. Since 1976, 1,414 people have been executed in the U.S. That’s 11% of Americans who were sentenced to die, but later exonerated and freed. Should Ohio and the 30 other states join the current list and abolish the death penalty?
Jennifer Palmieri, the communications director for the campaign, wrote back, “Hi. Yes, it is one she gets asked about. Not everyone likes her answer but can share it.” She instructed an aide to send Clinton’s position along. That sequence suggests that Brazile may have been forwarding the question for her own purposes — that is, to be prepared for some panel discussion about the death penalty. If so, it shows just how faithfully a CNN contributor seeks to toe the Clinton line.

Hi. Yes, it is one she gets asked about. Not everyone likes her answer but can share it. Betsaida - can you send her answer on death penalty?

There's more (there always is):
Heads up to Clinton's campaign about a Sanders African American outreach on twitter (a twitterstorm).

To Appease Sanders Voters, DNC Replaced Clinton-Friendly Chair with Another Clinton-Friendly Chair

The WikiLeaks dump ahead of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) led to the ouster of Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who was replaced with Donna Brazile. Schultz was given the position in exchange for Hillary Clinton actively campaigning to unite the party and elect Barack Obama in 2008.
The move was to appease the supporters of Bernie Sanders, who were angry after the emails revealed a bias against the Vermont senator during the Democratic nomination. But the latest WikiLeaks dump has now revealed that the DNC replaced one Clinton-friendly chairwoman with another. Brazile appeared to be tipping off the Clinton campaign about a coming Twitter storm in support of Sen. Sanders.

Brazile forwarded an email from Sarah Ford, of the Sanders campaign, to the Clinton campaign, which announced the senator’s 2016 African-American Outreach team was going to host “Twitterstorm Tuesday!”
“Thank you for the heads up on this Donna,” Podesta wrote back.

Brazile denies giving Clinton camp advance notice on CNN town hall question - POLITICO

Brazile, however, is denying that she notified the Clinton campaign of a proposed question. “As a longtime political activist with deep ties to our party, I supported all of our candidates for president. I often shared my thoughts with each and every campaign, and any suggestions that indicate otherwise are simply untrue. As it pertains to the CNN Debates, I never had access to questions and would never have shared them with the candidates if I did," Brazile said in a statement.

Brazile took over the DNC from Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who resigned in July in the wake of a separate WikiLeaks hack of DNC emails revealed the DNC may have been working on Clinton's behalf during her primary fight with Bernie Sanders.

Asked about the Brazile email hacked by WikiLeaks, a CNN spokeswoman said: "To be perfectly clear, we have never, ever given a town hall question to anyone beforehand."...

In her statement, Brazile cautioned that the intelligence community has made it clear the Russian government is responsible for cyberattacks "aimed at interfering with our election, and that WIkiLeaks is part of that effort." ....

The hacked emails haven't been authenticated, yet.

So a vote for Trump is a vote for Russia...and the demise of the US. Republicans must feel so proud.

Right. So the Russians just made that up. lol. The truth is, this email dump is pretty much a non story. Considering these people were interacting in a way that they felt would never get out, they said virtually nothing controversial. If Russians are planting fake stories in these emails and the best they can come up with is claiming some nobody at CNN gave some nobody in the Clinton camp a tip about a single question in a single primary debate that nobody cares about, then the Russians aren't very good at trying to influence the election. This story seems completely believable and Braziles denial is just her covering her ass.

Yes, the emails were hacked by the Russians to influence our election. And you think that's a good thing?

There are over 12 million emails spanning over a decade...and the right wing is zealously sifting through them to find something incriminating. But so far all they've managed to find are couple of sentences that they've taken out of context. And with each false flag their credibility falls and their willingness to do the Russians bidding and betray their country becomes more apparent.

This is a distraction. The issue is did Brazile tip off the Clinton camp to a town hall question. You want to attack the source while I want to deal with the substance.

I'd like to see Donna resign. We didn't really need the emails to show that she had a strong bias for Clinton. Just watch her at any post debate show she was on during the primaries. You would've that Hillary absolutely dominated Bernie in every debate if you only listened to her.

Brazil denies she had access or knew the questions before hand. I posted the link...but you conveniently ignored it so you could distract from the issue by attacking a strawman.

What substance? A sentence taken out of context, misconstrued,..or even falsified isn't substance...it's a lie.

What strawman? And Brazile denies it. So? You expect her to admit it? Its right there in writing. Her only excuse is that someone doctored the email which is silly.

Come on moot. Brazile is a Clinton loyalist from way back. If this email named Karl Rove leaking a question to Trump you would believe every word of it. It is perfectly believable that a Clinton loyalist and activist would pass along something like this to the campaign. The idea that Brazile is somehow way too principled to do such a thing is laughable. Its OK to admit when someone on your side does something that's not quite right. You don't have to defend everything.

So you believe the Russians, is that it? But isn't that what they want you to do? Why are you so worried about whats in private emails...and not care that Russians are stealing American's private information and blatantly interfering in our national election? What do you need to wake up...a nuclear bomb?

Actually, as I noted in another thread on this same topic, the issue is not Brazile at all, since she was not an operative of the DNC at the time and was just a CNN talking head and Clinton supporter. The issue is, in my view, why was CNN disclosing town hall questions or at least making them accessible to a known Clinton supporter? The issue is CNN's integrity, or lack thereof.

My God Moot, this isn't that tough. I believe the email is authentic. I don't believe the Russians took an innocuous email and just added that insignificant bit about Brazile for ****s and giggles. But you can believe what you want at this point.

Good point. Although her position there may have made a question or two available to her without any collusion by CNN. Either way, Brazile is the one who contacted the Clinton camp, so its mostly on her.

I don't think Wikileaks has any integrity left because it and its leader Julian Assange don't care about the damage they cause by releasing people's private information.

To be fair, what campaign supporter wouldn't feed that information to their candidate of choice if it fell into their lap? Brazile was supporting Clinton, not working for the DNC. She had zero obligation to inform the Sanders or O'Malley camps of her knowledge. Now, if it was proven that CNN surreptitiously fed the information to Brazile as a third party go between to forward it purposely to Clinton, then you have collusion and reason for Brazile to resign and CNN to be crucified. But if it's just a matter of one of the hosts or staffers at CNN leaving a list of questions out and accessible where Brazile saw it and passed it on, there's nothing wrong with that from the Brazile or Clinton camps.

I don't know what integrity they have or ever have had, but the emails are authentic and speak for themselves.

I agree completely. That is why I am arguing with Moot as to why this particular story rings true. Brazile is a Clintonite through and through. If she got a piece of info she thought would help her friend Hillary I am sure she would pass it on. Totally believable.

Absolutely right - there's no question in my mind that the story is true - I'm just quibbling with the focus. Claiming it's Russian propaganda is a little rich - Putin probably hasn't a clue who Donna Brazile is.

If this is an example of Russia 'doctoring' emails, then the 'doctor' needs to be sued for malpractice.

Oh FFS. Integrity ??? The DNC, the Clintons and the Clinton campaign is responsible for all this damage.

They brought this on theirselves by being a bunch of corrupt, duplicitous liars. WikiLeaks just shined a light on some of the highly unethical backroom dealings that they've probably been getting away with for years.

Now, the American people know just how ****ed up and broken the system is.
