Louisiana abortion law ruled unconstitutional...

Sometimes an end around works. Sometimes it doesn't.

Apparently, Trumps appointment of two ultra-conservatives to the SC wasn't enough to save this law. I imagine that conservatives are beginning to feel cheated now that Roberts has assumed the "middle" role on the SC.

Glad about the outcome, regardless

Wow.

Roberts made a big statement here. He basically sent notice by citing stare decisis, that other states will be boxed-out from trying similar maneuvers as Louisiana. In addition, he sent additional notice that he will not be a reliable vote for Roe v Wade, and the Court is not a given 5-4 Conservative vote against Roe.

And this coming from one of the most anti-abortion judges on the Court.

Roberts will be the most hated person on the SC

Yeah, y'all want those abortion clinics in black neighborhoods to stay up and running.

This ruling will become a rallying cry in Trump's campaign, and it will be an effective one for his base. Wanna' bet their formulating their campaign strategy as we speak? 'Saving the statues' is only carrying them so far.

Lot's (7) of big cases remain... they will be issuing more opinions tomorrow

Trump financial records
Religious school funding
Faithless electors

Yeah, y'all want those abortion clinics in black neighborhoods to stay up and running.

The only reason that conservatives and Republicans are putting up with Trump was because of judges. I imagine this will just motivate them even more, so I firmly believe the Trump campaign will pivot to: "gotta get more cons on the bench to overturn Roe v. Wade, better vote for me again yada yada yada,"

It's not only the Supreme Court. A federal judge blocked Alabama's strict abortion law last year, setting the grounds that the right to do what you want with your own body will not be tampered by social conservatives and religious nuts.

The citizens of Trump Fan Nation are so enraged with minorities right now they even bring them into conversations that have exactly nothing to do with them. "White Power", you know.

This is 1 reason I may not vote for Trump in November - the fate of the Supreme Court. I don't want a bunch of hardline conservatives deciding that a woman can't terminate her pregnancy as she and her doctor see fit. Some of these nuts are even against abortion in cases of incest or rape!

At the same time I don't want the court to go too far left either. A nice middle ground with no rights or privileges being dwindled or taken away should be the court's direction.

Gotta toss in that racist comment.

What's racist about my comment? It's racist to point out that abortion is the #1 cause of death in the black community?

Are you mad because your Negro Project keeps getting exposed?

That's what too many Sonic shakes will do to ya!

Perhaps for those on the Religious right, but not for me.

I agree with the decision as I stand for a woman's right to chose.

I support the current Administration for it's other efforts. Anti-Abortion rights is not one of them.

The supreme court ruled this morning on June Medical which was a challenge to Louisiana's law requiring abortion doctors to have admitting privileges in a hospital within 30 miles.

Good for the court, from what I read, it was an idiotic law to begin with, requiring 30 miles yadda yadda yadda.....freaking stupid law got struck down,

Though I love how the left is somehow spinning this as a defeat for Trump, as if Trump A. KNEW about the law, and B. endorsed the law....those are the only two ways it would be a "defeat" for Trump....

Instead of recognizing it as a win for the country, naw, those mental midgets celebrate it as a loss for Trump, and that in a nutshell is what is wrong with politics.

You're right, its more a defeat against an ideology that seeks to control women's bodies.

Yea, I could agree with that, I think there are some stupid stuff for it, I think I read somewhere that there was a law going around that they could abort AFTER birth.....not sure how that works, or put too much stock in the reliability of that report and accuracy of that, BUT IF IT is accurate, that's pretty messed up etc.

I am not aware of such law, not would it last long against any legal review.

Gotta toss in that racist comment.
With the arrival of his white supremacist brethren, he feels it's okay to let his true colors shine through.
