Constitutional Crisis

answer what?? The silly liberal clean forgot to say.

Are you so dense ?

"When the people obligated to defend the Constitution claim there is a constitutional crisis"

For James' benefit, since his youth prevents him reading properly,....when is that ?

There is a constitutional crises- it's called apathy. I doubt many citizens can even name their representative, much less quote anything from the constitution- this is a monkey see monkey do world and the monkeys in DC know that- the abuse suffered by citizens at the hands of lawyers (lawyers pay others to teach them to lie legally) is evident in our lack of education which both sides *leaders* subscribe to and were trained in-

There is a constitutional crises- it's called apathy...

That's not a Constitutional Crisis

A Constitutional Crisis is when a situation arises that is not addressed or covered by the Constitution.

What? federalism is about power sharing between states and feds but it does not say what the balance ought to be. Do you understand?

I do. I don’t believe you do, though. If you are curious what subject matter in which the federal government has authority, review the enumerated areas in Article 1, Section 8. Any other subject matter is (or at least rightfully ought to be) exclusively the province of the several state governments.

Which people are "obligated to defend the Constitution"

And when has a Constitutional crisis been declared and over what ?

Well, for starters, the president of the United States, whose oath of office is provided in the Constitution. Beyond that, every representative, senator, judge, principal officers, inferior officers, and many employees make a similar oath upon taking office.

When I was admitted to my state bar, I swore to uphold and defend the state and federal constitutions. Likewise when I took office as a state prosecutor.

And, I think Schumer, Pelosi, Nadler, Schiff, et al. have shrieked about constitutional crises since before the inauguration through and until today. If Trump sneezes, a constitutional crisis is declared.

When the people obligated to defend the Constitution claim there is a constitutional crisis, then that means there is a constitutional crisis. It is very precarious to allow the politicians to use this term lightly - very precarious.

What?

When a man mistakenly admits his wife's new shoes make her look fat, there is a crisis, even if she is fat.

On the other hand, should there be a constitutional congress between the presidency and congress, who will the American military choose to offend and defend? Their commander in chief or a bunch of disruptive commie pinko legislators with big mouths who they already detest? The American people will stayed glued to the large screen HDTV's, smart phones, and other devices as they hurl insults at each other over the internet. Mothers, seeking to keep their children safe, will keep them home from school and after two or three days of that will be going bat shirt crazy as they demand the immediate arrest of any and all who pose a violent threat and support for the disrupters who made this mess. Riots will break out at Arby's, chicken joints and pizza parlors because of shortages caused by disruption of daily supply deliveries. National Guard units will be called out to protect these venues and restore order with shoot to kill orders. Costco will be forced to keep it doors open, and do so in the name of patriotism, as they raise prices, arming security guards who never finished high school. Burger joints will offer counterrevolutionary specials and expand into peanut butter and processed cheese sandwiches with choice of condiments. It's real cheese, sort of. It's made from real peanuts, sort of.

Yes, by all means, revolution and protect the constitution with a popular uprising. Except, congress is not popular.

The modern motto: "Give me the scandal of the week or give me a bottle of extra sweet Snapple and low fat kettle chips made from reconstituted dried potato flour and salt, lots of salt. Pass the dip."

When a man mistakenly admits his wife's new shoes make her look fat, there is a crisis, even if she is fat...

In Roman times when a man grabbed his wife a new toga from the rack marked size "L" and she got mad, he'd get her an "XL" and things would be better.

Well I kind of meant defend the Constitution against him - ie: Impeach him

Well going that far every soldier, airman, marine, sailor and coastguard swear to defend the Constitution as members of the Executive branch
I was meaning which people are to defend the Constitution by impeaching a president

I don't think we've had a Constitutional crisis under Trump yet...poor interpretation of the Constitution perhaps but not crises

If Trump were to pardon himself, that might count
The biggie is if Trump loses next year but declares it was rigged and that he really won and refuses to leave office.

There is a crisis only because liberals oppose the Constitution and thus treasonously interpret it to mean any socialist thing they want it to mean. Patriotic conservatives don't interpret it, they merely read it as they are supposed to.

Really? How can you say that with a straight face when both sides subscribe to then same policy's- using different rhetoric to sell the bull**** is still selling bull****.
Conservatives are the ones who brought us the Patriot Act and all the bull**** that it brought and they keep reauthorizing it- Nixon made the deal with the Saudi's and "Liberals" support it- both sides subscribe to the wars, foreign and domestic- they both subscribe to the same monetary policy which funds it all- SMH-

A Constitutional Crisis is when a situation arises that is not addressed or covered by the Constitution.

It's a crisis of gigantic proportions- politicians aren't the only ones involved.

Nowadays, you can't just say there's a problem in the government. Even a serious problem. People are so bombarded by information that "a problem" won't even register.

The only way to get people's attention is to stand on the rooftop and scream "Constitutional crisis!" and "the world is ending!!!" But even that is losing its power to compel attention.

Not sure where this ends up.

With respect to your last paragraph, kind of like what the Democrats are doing? They warned Trump would do this if he lost 2016, and then they did exactly what they warned he might do. What ifs don’t amount to much.
