I want us to have a debate over whether the U.S. gov. needs to be overthrown. As said in the Second Amendment, we could overthrow the U.S. gov. if the people had the same goal in mind. But I believe even then the U.S. gov. would still disregard the U.S constitution and do what they wanted? What do you think needs to happen?

I think we will require a reorganization plan to do it peacefully.

If you want to, essentially, fire them all, and then restart the government; then you are going to be disappointed, because it won't work. You are going to have to publish a plan concerning the schedule of the shut-down and then the re-start, and there are a lot of things you need to get documented and notorized - it is going to require a lot of pencil pushers.

???

Perhaps you can show me exactly where the 2nd Amendment says we could overthrow the US government.

So on a message board you are asking what you can do to help overthrow the US government?

Why does the U.S. government need to be overthrown? We tend to focus on the weaknesses on these boards, but the U.S. government works amazingly well compared to most other governments.

If we DID use your logic, (which is defective) then by that same logic it is clear that I can overthrow the overthrowers.
Bring it on, babe...you get your numbers and we'll get ours.

We literally had a war about how terrible this exact idea is.

By then I would have destroyed the Constitution and created my own.

Yes, is there something I misunderstood about your request?

I'm in favor of a peaceful revolution. You used, "overthrow," I described my position as peaceful, and tried to lead you to understand the errors in your request.

I'm not afraid to describe my intentions. You can go call the FBI; I'm very confident the federal government has evaluated my intentions - they know I am on the peaceful, deliberate, and orderly, approach.

What are you waiting for? I can guarantee you that the person who generates the successor to the almighty United States Constitution is going to be kind of famous and earn an incredible wealth from the copyrights - don't you think?

It was just a joke - right???

You have no idea how to write a Constitution, and you think everybody else is just as stupid - right?

Stay woke! Cause the revolution will be televised.

Let's make it better, and let's make it so the other societies can interpret it correctly, and guide their communities toward the prosperity that they admire us for.

Think, World Peace.

We voted for state and federal offices every 2 years.

Overthrowing a government is not making it better. It is making a new government.

I used the terminology the Original Poster used and you asked what you could do to help. So yeah, you are looking to overthrow the govenrment which is not in anyway peaceful.

At is a big "IF". I suspect the goal I would have and the goal you would have are different.

What needs to happen is for our elected officials learn to work together.

There are many United States gun owners who will tell you with a straight face that an armed citizenry is needed as a defense against an out-of control government. These same gun owners see themselves as patriots. [I'm not kidding.] Considering the number of uprisings by members of this group against the existing government of the United States of America, the call for a discussion on the topic of the OP appears to be one we should reserve for alternate universes.

“What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms.” - Thomas Jefferson

This is why we have the Second Amendment. . . . When there needs to be a complete "reset' of government.

When Government becomes so powerful, and so oppressive, when all individual liberties have become eroded, that government needs to be dissolved, and re-established.

We're still a LONG ways from that point (IMO), but the US has been in decline in the past 100 years with regards to freedom and liberty.

There seems to be a misunderstanding that you recognized, and yet you seem to insist on trying to classify me as determined to do something illegal, and get your jollies, somehow???

Think about it. I know what you were trying to do - it was obvious - it was silly. Nobody, even people as dull as you, are not going to fall for the baiting question - grow up.

Nobody here, is going to try to organize a violent rebellion - I can guarntee you that!

What are your ideological principles?

Are you a liberal thinker? Are you white? Are you a man?

What makes you think I am going to expose myself to the prosecution that you believe that I am gullible to commit???

Stay Woke, because the revolution is going to occur, and non-whites are going to be invited to the fabled table to reorder the government institutions that were erroneously established by slave owning white supremacists.

The government is in a controlled chaotic state. The solution is it needs to be reordered. It will take some time, but it will be peaceful - it will not be a gun fight, and then the winners re-start the 1787 Constitution - that is not going to happen.

I think you need to find another topic other than overthrowing the US government.
