Sorry, thought I did answer, assuming I scrolled back correctly to the item and my response you quoted. It's illegal for an alien to cross the border without inspection or to remain in the US without authorization. It's also illegal to employ them. I was trying to note the symbiotic relationship between illegals in the work force and the US historic reliance on or preference for cheap labor. One grower in the 1960s, speaking of farm labor, was quoted: "We used to own slaves. Now we rent them."

And, if you like, I will add that there is no complexity involved in the issue, no hypocrisy, no policies concerning refugees that have to be considered, nothing but Trump's pure concern for our great country.
