Defects of american-styled "democracy"

Democracy doesn't 'force' anyone to do anything without due process and that's a vitally important aspect of our democracy.

US democracy however has been warped in a modern adaptation of electing our own plutocrats.

Not that you are correct, but pointing to due process is begging the question. Where do the people using "due process" get the authority to use force? Due process becomes the equivalent of magical hand-waving.

No, they created the Electoral College to preclude a charismatic unqualified charlatan from wooing the populous and gaining the Presidency. (Federalist 68)

(We now see how well, in practice, that works)

It may be a terrible system; but it beats hell out of second place … well ... when left to work as designed and not circumvented and manipulated by those with the most money; which it rarely has been.

Don't you just hate it when a poster edits your post and presents it as if it was not edited?

Why/how would the electoral college stop this wooing that you seem to think it stops? Is there a President elected in the 20th century that has not engaged in "wooing the populous"?
