Hi
This is a short visit to maybe get some of you to think about our national problem in a new way.
After the civil war a young black man went to see Fredrick Douglas and asked him "What do we do now?" Mr. Douglas's answer was Agitate, Agitate, Agitate.
Since our biggest problem is in the White House I am going to post some parts of the Constitution which should be repeatedly sent to Trump to remind him that he isn't as much in charge as he thinks. But at the same time I will slip in a few choice parts to use for the folks (on both sides of the aisle) to remind them that they are not as immune as they think.
IN CONGRESSS - Mar 4 1788 (America's real birthday as a nation)
Article I - Section 6 - Paragraph 1
Members of Congress CAN be arrested for Felony while serving. (This includes bribery) or taking money for serves rendered or to be rendered)
Section 7 - Paragraph 1
All bills raising revenue (tariffs, import tax, levies) shall rest with the House (Not the White House) (And by the way import fees, tariffs and levies are paid by the nation receiving the goods not the one sending them. SO if there is a wall WE PAY FOR IT)
Section 8 - Paragraph 1
THE CONGRESS shall have the power to lay and collect duties, imports and excises (NOT the White House)
Paragraph 3
The Congress shall have the power to regulate commerce with foreign nations AND INDIAN NATIONS (by law Indian Nations are sovereign states and so Trump has no authority to just go in and do what he wants on sovereign land)
Section 9 - Paragraph 7
NO money shall be drawn from the Treasury but in consequence of the Appropriates made by law. (Trump said he plans to use Treasure money (NOT ALLOCATED) to pay for some of the things he has proposed.)
Article II - Section 2 - Paragraph 2
He (President) shall have the power BY and WITH the advice and consent of the Congress to make treaties.
Section 4 - The President and Vice President shall be removed from office on Impeachment for and conviction (which means he has to be arrested first) of Treason, bribery or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors. (High Crimes are crimes committed by a person in high authority but combined High Crimes and Misdemeanors cover a broad range of crimes - Source - American Journal of Constitutional Law)
IN CONGRESS - 1789 - The Amendments or Bill of Rights
Article I - CONGRESS shall make no law prohibiting or abridging freedom of speech, THE PRESS, peaceable assembly, or to petition the government. (SO how much authority do you think TRUMP has?)( "You in the media should shut up and listen")
A few years ago Obama got raked by the Conservatives for granting citizenship to the children of illegal immigrants born in this country. They said he was using dictatorial powers. It simply shows they have never read the document they have sworn to serve.
Article 14 - Section 1 - ALL PERSONS born or naturalized in the United States and subject to its jurisdiction ARE citizens of the United States AND the state in which they reside. NO STATE shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge these privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States (VOTER RESTRICTIONS), NOR shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty or property without due process of law nor deny any person within its jurisdiction of equal protection of the law (Gays, blacks, legal immigrants and the children of illegal immigrants born in this country.)
Constantly blasting Trump and the Congress with messages using these and their own words as backup will get more of a reaction than marches and speeches. Especially sending Trump e-mails and tweets showing him saying or doing things he has denied including admitting to the existence of climate change.
As to any deeper meaning or purpose of these citations that would be up to some smart lawyers to figure out.
Smart, Legal and Peaceful AGITATION
