Xenophobes, Racists & Illegal Immigration

As anyone who has ever noticed my Signature knows, I am a fervent supporter of enforcing and even ramping up existing Immigration Laws and closing loopholes that entice&solicit foreign nationals to break those laws.

And because I and millions of other American Citizens believe this to be a major US problem, we are accused of being xenophobes and even racists based on nothing but a political position.

I'm well aware that the overwhelming majority of illegal immigrants are Central and South American Latinos but why does the left insist on believing that race is the basis of our position?

I assure you that for the great majority of us, this position is rooted in nothing more than support for the law of the land and the US Constitution regardless of the nationality or skin color of the offenders.

Although; I'm sure there are those among us who are indeed motivated by racism, xenophobia and just plain ole hate but I also know that this group is a tiny insignificant minority in 21st Century America.

So why can't the liberal and lefty community just accept this reality and stop with the incessant accusations of "racist" and "xenophobe" and realize that our positions on this issue are simply at odds? :blink: ?

The best way, seems to me, in which to counter these accusations is to just ignore them.

They, the other team, have cried wolf wolf, in this case racism, blah blah banal blahisms, so many times to the extent that almost everyone everywhere has been at one time or another called that for some dumb reason [yes, understanding there is some small minority of racists of all stripes in the nation]. To the point that now, whenever someone calls me such here or elsewhere... hell, I know its not true so I just smile knowing that they have no real argument and so must resort to this large, blunt now nerf ball like instrument of intended destruction to try to whack me with....

Its comical.

So I burnish these worn out and in-artfully expressed sentiments with pride... they were always wrong, but now their once hurtful words have lost their effect. Finally.

I take the liberal side of issues often enough, but I am one of the harshest critics of illegal immigration you'll probably meet. I looked at Trump very strongly, because of this issue (amongst others).

So I don't think you'll find liberals carry a homogeneous mindset.

That sounds solid enough. I am not sure I agree with the position totally. But it doesn’t sound fascist.

Playing identity politics is a really easy way to get votes. Leftist politicians, I don't believe, are actually concerned with anyone from foreign countries. They're concerned with importing people who are submissive to government, for bigger government, and vote for them.

You don't hear many politicians on the left preaching immigration from East Asia or Northern Europe because these are very high IQ areas. These people don't usually vote for bigger government and are less likely to vote left.

I've never really met any "real" racists, actually. There are people concerned about demographics in our country because of certain groups being more prone to things like crime, poverty, and abusing government aid. The real issue is that if you ever want to address these very serious problems you are usually called a racist immediately.

Quite honestly though, I can't see why anyone would disagree with the first 2 of her 3 sig tenets.

Obviously the 3rd tenet would seem to be more open to reasonable debate. But I think the first 2 are fine, and easily supported IMO.

No American has the right to publish xenophobic hate speech without being subject to criticism for publishing xenophobic hate speech.

You may not silence critics because of free speech. Thankfully, this country believes in freedom rather than authoritarian social engineering.
