If it is ever the case that the American people as a whole shift to the point of thinking that Israel is not their ally but the source of their foreign policy problems, that is a massive, existential problem for Israel.

Politics if fluid, of course. Israel could always pivot to Russia and China, but those would be extremely strange bedfellows for sure, and it's unclear how welcome Israel would be in a BRICS alliance. Their best bet is obviously staying on America's good side.
