Which ones of Hermann Hesse's writings have you read?
 
Once I read the Steppenwolf - and Glasperlenspiel - and Unterm Rad.

And some poems by Hesse
 
I have not read any Hesse. I probably should.
The last book by a German author I read was 2 months ago: Goethe’s “The Sorrows of Young Werther”.

Wow. So hard to read. I found myself with a lump in my throat toward the end. But also beautiful.

I read Demian a long time ago. It was quite good. Can’t remember much about the plot. I read it probably 15 years ago.
