Every Friday our local newspaper includes and insert from “Stars and Stripes.” I ETS’d in late 1975. We were using T-10s and MC 1-1. MC 1-1 was a modified T10 with a few panels/gores removed for forward speed. The HALO troops were using ram airs, iirc.

What are these square looking things? Looks like all four corners are vented and there looks to be a slider between the jumper and the main. Are there steering toggles?

Its the new ( relatively speaking) T 11; We use them now in place of the T 10 C/D's.....a few other nations adopted them as well.

A slightly lighter landing of around 19 fps instead of the 24 fps with the older T 10 C...you still feel it when you PLF, and the harness is designed to distribute and lessen the shock on static line jumps.
