This is a rather lengthy and detailed account of how the Obama administration dismantled Project Cassandra, a tack force created to target Hezbollah's billion dollar crime syndicate, in order to complete the Iran nuclear deal.

"Within months, task force officials said, Project Cassandra was all but dead. Some of its most senior officials, including Jack Kelly, the veteran DEA supervisory agent who created and led the task force, were transferred to other assignments. And Asher himself left the task force long before that, after the Defense Department said his contract would not be renewed.

As a result, the U.S. government lost insight into not only drug trafficking and other criminal activity worldwide, but also into Hezbollah’s illicit conspiracies with top officials in the Iranian, Syrian, Venezuelan and Russian governments — all the way up to presidents Nicolas Maduro, Assad and Putin, according to former task force members and other current and former U.S. officials."

Characterizing concern over US ending a program tracking and intercepting Hezbollah chemical and conventional weapons and narcotic shipments as deranged isn't as good a look for you as you may think.

Obama the Kenyan terrorist, Muslim fundamentalist, did another bad thing.

BTW, during the Obama presidency, we were essentially at war with Hezbollah in Syria. So, I cast doubt on your story, as U.S. military was at odds with Hezbollah. Why would we allow them to sell blow in our country?

I don't know. Now that he's gone they may proceed. You'd think if he was the only one standing in the way, the DoJ could finish the job with him gone. Unless the entire DoJ is a Democrat conspiracy. Of course, I hadn't considered that real and plausible possibility.

I don't know about this one, but there was this time that Obama took over the world for a while and forced people to eat sugarless cereal without milk, meant to be a distraction while sending left handed babies to work in the cubic zirconium mines. The cubic zirconium (he changed the name to cubzir, which I find outrageous) was then loaded into hollowed out USB drives, the data from which was suspiciously sent to Swiss electronics recyclers (seriously, Obama, that SWISS??? Rearrange those letters, and it spells ISIS with a W, which stands for Washington, so Obama LITERALLY put the Washington in ISIS), and sent to the French Resistance in 1941, with Darth Vader CC'd.

When will people finally take #MilklessCerealSwissCubzirVaderGate seriously??? WHEN??????????????????

What Obama did isn't as big of an issue as what Trump will do. You won, get over it.

So asking what Trump's plan is is very relevant.

The Politico piece is worth the read. It is from the point of view of the DEA's investigation into Hezbollah's drug industry over many years. It essentially boils down to the DEA being very concerned with how widespread Hezbollah's cocaine ring was, and them pushing for prosecutions but getting pushed back for a couple of reasons. One was that other intelligence agencies questioned the validity of some amount of the evidence, and the other one was that the Obama administration wanted to ensure the Iran deal went through and didn't want to rock the boat too much. It gives a good insight into how complex decision making is at the highest levels.
