Which it will be. If Alabama elects Roy Moore, then obviously the voters of Alabama want a sex offender as their senator. The problem is not Roy Moore. There are 320 million people in this country. Some of them are bigoted pedophiles. The real problem is that Republican voters obviously don't consider that to be a disqualifier for public office. The religious right in the Republican base does not care about moral values, that is just a club they beat their political opponents with. What they actually care about is political power and using the government as an authoritarian instrument to enforce their authoritarian views on others. So it would not matter if Roy Moore was on video bragging about grabbing teen girls by the vagina.
