This guy vs Harvey Weinstien...

Dems are pulling an equivalence move. Is a true or false equivalence?

Republicans are urged to return their own scandal-engulfed major donor's money

When Harvey Weinstein was accused of sexually assaulting women nearly four months ago, Republicans called on Democratic lawmakers and committees to return contributions from the Hollywood mogul and major donor. Now the GOP is being forced to answer for its own scandal-engulfed donor and fundraiser: Steve Wynn, the Las Vegas casino giant.

Immediately after The Wall Street Journal detailed decades' worth of sexual misconduct allegations from women who worked at Wynn's casinos, Democrats began insisting that Republicans -- and the Republican National Committee, where Wynn is finance chairman -- return Wynn's cash. Wynn has denied the allegations. The episode could lead Republicans to regret weaponizing Weinstein's political contributions against Democrats.

Other link (ABC). OP link is more about the financials... this link is more about the accusations.

Billionaire Steve Wynn accused of sexual misconduct by dozens

Real estate and casino mogul Steve Wynn, 76, has been accused of sexual misconduct by dozens of people who shared similar accounts of his alleged pattern of abuse, The Wall Street Journal reported.

One of the women accusing Wynn is a former manicurist who worked at the Wynn Las Vegas shortly after it opened in 2005 and told several people that Wynn forced her to have sex after giving him a manicure, according to the WSJ.

WE live in post-truth America. Careful scrutiny and balanced decision making is being replaced by the trebuchets and crossbows of all out war. So, IMO, anythings on the table. Trump's PAC just ran an ad accusing the Democrats of murder. Everythings on the table.

You don’t understand.

It’s not hypocrisy when you’re OK with sexual harassment.

I'm actually kinda glad the nation is going to Hell in a hand basket; I knew it would ................ we are becoming, as Trump would say, a ****hole country .............. or, maybe we were already there but just didn't recognize it ............ it really doesn't matter ..........

Jesus... We already deport criminals. That is such a blatant lie on top of being... well... disgusting. All I know is my irish ancestors from way Northern Ireland were targeted the same way for being poor dirty, diseased-carrying immigrants.

It's a gnarly lie that the easily frightened rubes will clutch to their bosoms.

So.. basically my input is the left needs to use anything that will stick, no matter how offensive or bereft of decorum.

That (bolded above) is true, in fact, some of them have been deported multiple times.

I've got no problem with the add. People know the difference between good and bad undocumented and unfortunately there are problems drawing the line and protecting the integrity of our boarders. His theme is not off; sometimes unpleasant, but not off.

And what do you propose? that we build American prisons in other countries to hold them after deportation?

TBH this is the nazi right we are talking about. They will condemn and demand things from the left (weinstein ect) but will make excuses for their own.

It was actually the Republican National Committee who demanded this.

So..I guess that’s the ‘nazi right’ now.

Nope, that we prevent illegal immigration such that being deported actually means staying deported. The ad states that not doing so is akin to condoning the resulting crime.

It seems equal to me, but did anyone actually return Weinstein money? Pouring money into the bank accounts of creeps like this seems a bit strange, no? Its almost like rewarding them for their bad behavior.

And your opinion on what should be done AND HOW this should be done? And at this point, do you think dems are complicit in murder as the ad states?

1) Realistic funding of both border security and interior immigration law enforcement. The best option, IMHO, is to pay federal bounties to state, local and tribal LEOs for assisting federal border patrol and ICE enforcement efforts.

2) Of course, they are. Sanctuary cities/states being prime examples.

I could agree to a point on some of this although it is mighty general.

2) Of course, they are. Sanctuary cities/states being prime examples.

Wow. And I've actually respected your opinions before. All good things must come to an end I suppose. Nevermind me... you have some Willie Horton ads to run.

Yes, that is actually a better way to handle it.

I agree... I would feel like **** if I wrote a handsome check out to Weinstien at this point.

1) That is very specific - much more specific than simply saying that actually enforcing federal immigration law is racist or xenophobic.

2) There is no rational reason not to turn over illegal immigrants in state/local custody to the federal government if they are listed as wanted or having been deported. That is no harder to comprehend or to comply with than reciprocity agreements with other state's law enforcement agencies. If a person is wanted in GA and is in custody in TX then TX is expected to honor that GA warrant and alert GA to the situation - if GA says hold them then TX should do so (for a reasonable period of time) . If TX was to simply say "**** it, that's a GA problem so turn them loose" then that would be placing the residents of TX in danger for no good reason.
