A "multiple shooting" was reported early Wednesday at a congressional baseball game practice field in Alexandria, Va.ABC 7 News reported "multiple shooting" in the 400 block of E. Monroe Street.

The suspect is "believed in custody," ABC reported, according to Alexandria police.
GOP Whip Steve Scalise and two Capitol Police officers on protective detail were shot, according to multiple reports
A reporter from Fox News also tweeted that staffers were hit.
"Right now, we're secure," Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) told CNN Wednesday morning.

Terrible news. Let us hope and pray that all those hit survive. CNN has Congressman Mo Brooks of Alabama on its phone line and his description of events is beyond riveting. It wounds absolutely beyond belief.

Apparently it was a GOP practice being held to prepare for the annual game against the Democrats.

Rep. Mo Brooks said he dragged himself from second base into the outfield leaving a trail of blood at least 15 yards behind him.

A guy that was there before the shooting said someone came up and asked if it was Democrats or Republicans out there. Could be nothing.

I would look for more and more of this type of thing. The illusion of a political system that serves people outside the donor class has worn a bit thin.

Possibilities?

1. Radical Leftist targeting Republicans, either to punish them due to all the rhetoric about fascist Trump, or to give them a taste of "gunfire" to make them change on 2nd Amendment rights.

2. Radical Islamist terror attack.

3. Just some crazy guy with his own axe to grind.

Any other suggestions?

lol. are you basically encrouraging a civil war? Of which I'm sure plenty on both sides would be happy to oblige. At a time like this, the last thing we need is people saying, "Democrats fault!"
