Prince Charles Tests Positive for Coronavirus - The New York Times

Prince Charles, the heir to the British throne, has contracted the coronavirus, Buckingham Palace said in a statement on Wednesday, adding that he had been suffering from mild symptoms since last weekend.Doctors said they did not expect the prince’s condition to accelerate into a more serious case, according to an official at the palace, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
Charles, 71, was tested in Scotland on Monday and received confirmation the next day that he was carrying the virus. He is recuperating at Birkhall, his residence in Scotland.

Uh oh, if anything happens to him or the Queen, could it be the end of the House of Saxe Coburg and Gotha?

Best wishes for a full recovery.

After the Queen left for Balmoral to self-isolate, I saw a couple of articles whose headlines stated that while Prince Charles and Camilla (who has tested negative) and she had all withdrawn from public temporarily, Prince William was to pick up their slack. But I'll bet you a dollar that when I click on the Daily Mail article, dozens of readers have already expressed the hope that this spells the end of the monarchy.

Meanwhile Prince Andrew tests positive for Gonorrhoea...

Charles is reported to have minor symptom so far, so here's wishing it stays that way.

he should bog off back to his home in Buckingham palace everyone was told to stay at home why should big ears receive preferential treatment

I thought Clarence House was Prince Charles's official London residence. And Highgrove his country pile and Birkhall his Scottish place.

Because he is the heir to the throne?

It's the House of Windsor, OP, and William and Henry stand in succession.

LOL I just read the comments on the DM, and this is the best one: "RIP Charles, he was my favorite royal too. Heaven has a new shining star."

Reading more comments from the Daily Mail it seems a large percentage of readers want Harry and Meghan to take the crown if the Royals in the UK get wiped out lol.

Reading too much of the readers' comments in the Daily Fail causes cerebral phimosis.

The shoddiness and level of journalism in the DM are shocking.

I can't fathom why anyone reads it, unless they are fooled by the dramatically out of context click bait headlines. I browsed through it the other day when nota bene posted a link, and it reminded of The Sun, which I ashamedly admit to reading when I was a teenager - many many many years ago.

I read the DM for the lolz. When youre stuck in the house due to the virus and you cant hang out with friends or see the GF, then laughing at the comments section passes the time.

The prince should not be kissing his wife at this time.

Who could blame him?

They have been together these past two weeks, and she has still tested negative for the virus, so not sure what that tell us?

~ it reminded of The Sun, which I ashamedly admit to reading when I was a teenager ~

I have no shame admitting I used to "read" the Sun to see Samantha Fox or Melinda Messenger or any of the other page 3 nudes. Then I got a girlfriend and grew up, never read the Sun again or needed it....

He has only a 2% chance of getting really sick from the virus, so not to worry.

What if he infects the German lady though? She's like 90+
