Yeah, suddenly, pretty much all the countries on Earth decided to kill their economies for no good reason. So did State and local governments in the US responsible for 97% of the population. Clearly, they are all wrong and you and your right-wing sources are right.

Indeed, madman. Momentary elation followed by years of anemic recovery and my newborn son having to spend the prime earning years of his life to pay Norwegian-level taxes just to pay back the debt we racked up and saddled him with right along with the children and grandchildren of everyone here on this forum.

That is an outdated graph. It shows deaths per million as just over 40. We are now at 238 per million and climbing. Visualize an updated graph that dwarfs all other forms of death.

Yes, it's not mine though (see reference at the bottom of it), so I cannot update it myself. I would note that trajectory on that graph shows what it was like BEFORE the lockdowns due to the delay from infection to death.

Many of the posters gloat each day when the numbers go up. Not sure if you've seen my posts, but we have to go by excess deaths and compare that with 2018 which was a tough flu season. Doing that gives us deaths of about 35,000 over the 2018 flu season.

You most likely know also that about 1/2 the deaths are in nursing homes and that 80% of the people who die are over 65.

These facts have been presented to those on this board who are far left wingers (and there are many here) and they kick and scream and argue and dispute the method and when they see they are losing the debate will pull out the debate stopper, "You just want people to die" or the tactic of the snowflake crowd, "You could kill someone else!"

Yesterday there was an article where Freda number 2 Cuomo expressed surprise that 2/3rds of the people being hospitalized STAYED at home. So much for this social distancing,eh.

You are new here. You are gonna find that this crowd is aching to blame Trump as if the virus started in Trump Towers. Watch and see how angry they will get at your OP.
