Kumbaya Didn’t Last Long

A tough primary would be bad for Republicans in California. California uses a top 2 primary system, so if DiFi’s primary opponent is tough enough there won’t be a Republican on the Senate ballot for the general. That would reduce turnout for the 7-8 California Republican incumbents running in Clinton House districts.
 
I doubt he remembers most of the meeting. Probably only the end.

He should have allowed the press to remain the whole time and then watch the whole thing back...after all watching TV is how he gets most of his information.

I did see that! Their faces were pretty funny. They know he doesnt know the implications of the proposals on the table.

Did that only happen once? I didnt watch it all.

He pretty much stood his ground after that. To me, it seems like he was overly enthused to negotiate both parties. Not sure why. He kept bringing up that he trusts them and would sign whatever, leaving the door wide open for Feinstein. It was a bit strange.

From what I saw, he started backing away a little from 'agreeing' with everything the Dems said, and waiting to see what reactions and comments his staff had.

He did put his foot down regarding the wall, that's for sure. Handing it all over to congress is good. But that's what Reagan did too in the day, and look where we are now.
I got the popcorn ready.
