All the more reason to ban guns

People making home made guns - even as crude as this one, should be treated like owners of meth labs.

If you came up with a ceramic bullet, like a muzzle loader, you could sneak this passed a metal detector.
 
Home made 45's in the Philippines; very good copy made with hand tools in the jungle by farmers.....an entire underground industry is turning these out.

I wonder if you could make a plastic flintlock? I'd think so. That way you wouldn't have a metal primer to set the detector off. Maybe you could even make a plastic primer?

In the 1800s there were tape locks with used something like the old cap rolls... Maynard tape primer.

I think I have seen that same pic.....it didnt have a side mag release, there was some kind of retention clip at the bottom of the grip.

I'd really like to know what the car battery is for.....is that supposed to be an electrical ignition rocket launcher or twin mortar tubes??

I assumed it was to operate the ignition system.

I was trying to figure the same thing-probably for ignition-and maybe a counterweight too
