Conservatives, especially the "moral" evangelical Christian ones, tell us that one of the biggest reasons they didn't like Hillary was that her husband had had an extramarital affair with a whitehouse intern while president. Evangelical leaders like Jerry Falwell were literally losing their mind, saying that they can't imagine living in a country where the president would have an extramarital affair. Bill Clinton was impeached over this.

Well, now we have a woman, a porn star at that, telling us about an extramarital affair with Donald Trump, soon after he had married his current wife. She says he was a gentleman, and told her she reminded him of Ivanka.

And not a peep of outrage. Why? I thought you guys were the guardians of morality and traditional values in this country. Is it because you really aren't, or because there is just such a flood of other moral outrages, from all the p**ssy grabbing, to overt racism and bigotry, that has just made you numb to this.

It's just very interesting how this whole story has just faded into the background. Where is all the righteous moral outrage and scriptural quotes? The calls for impeachment? Telling us how you cannot tolerate to live in a country where the president has an extramarital affair, WITH A PORN STAR?

You have lost all credibility in your claims to holding the moral high ground. Your religion and scripture clearly are not very good guides to any morality, except maybe hypocrisy and two-facedness.

Jealous?

I believe most conservatives here disliked Hillary because she is a corrupt, lying, hypocritical and nasty person. Similar to what the liberals call Trump. Bringing up Bill's past is usually to show the hypocrisy of the left when they bring up the less than stellar past of someone on the right.

The Christian Right is fake Christianity.

It's pro-rich and anti-poor, anti-health care for the poor, anti-peace and pro-guns. Nothing about the Christian Right reflects Christian morality. Their self-righteous attacks on gays is also not Christianity. Jesus spoke out strongly against self-righteousness. He clearly says, do not judge yet these people are extremely judgmental.

Most of Christian protestantism in America has been hijacked by false prosperity gospel proponents and Christian Pharisees.

But there is a remnant.

Please, that ship has sailed. He was a known cheater on his former wives. Then the Billy Bush Bus interview.

Morality works for conservatives only when they can use it to control individuals.

Of someone banging a porn star? A slut like that would make sloppy seconds look like new meat. You're talking sloppy fourths...each day.

Dude, I wouldn't tap it even with Trump's teenie weenie

I, for one, am glad he gets a little on the side. On the other hand, I don't see the porn star as an improvement upon his current matrimonial contractor. I suppose that means it is a habit of conquest and hope the possible attachments, for instance, crotch crickets for all you insect lovers, don't impede his activities closer to home. On the other hand, as long as he has lighter fluid, a razor to shave half, a match and an icepick to stab the lil critters as they flee the flames, all will be well, eh? As long as he don't get no concussion from being smacked upside the noodle by one o' them massive mammary glands, he be OK. The only room for complaint or casting shade in this matter might be the lovely Melania and all I hear there are the sounds of silence like a good politician's wife, eh?

It seems like Donald gets a pass on these sorts of things. He has so many scandals they have to compete with each other for public attention.

But the reason for this is the same as the reason for the outrage over Bill and Monica.

Political convenience.

There's no "surprise" here. Trump certainly didn't campaign on his moral values so why should anyone care? She was paid for a service, assuming it's true. Liberals praise people like Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, and Barney Frank: all of whom are rapists and child molesters.

They don't care because none of the things they ever say are actually sincere.

The Lewinsky scandal wasn't about them caring for Monica, it was just a political door opening for them to finally have an excuse to impeach a popular liberal president, after years of butthurt from losing to him twice.

Two wrongs don't make a right and frankly I did not approve of Obama's drone strike policy, this why I think the Democrats are useless, they are just a center right neo liberal party, who carried a lot of the policies over the Bush administration.

Does not change the fact for the religious right seems to see Christian morality as a tool of control rather then a standard that applies to powerful conservatives, it seems to only apply to liberals and poor people.

You're right. I don't care, and I'm not even sincere about that.

A porn star hey, well, maybe I'll consider running anyway then, just for the money of course, I wouldn't want to be President anymore, since I've been taking medication for my schizophrenia.

I've got nothing against the man, he looks great, Presidential, sounds good, we hired him because he wasn't politically correct. I may not like his tough actions, but all I ever hear is Trump said this, Trump said that, but never, "This is what Trump did today; sign tax bill," so the liberal media is missing the substance of any debate.

I'm glad my President has some openness in his marriage, I have girls with other guys, it makes the relationship less demanding, one less movie you have to take them to, one less dinner, you can masturbate once and a while and still keep them satisfied.

You gotta watch out though, or those guys'll be all into your energy. Use your own time to make time, don't talk about me or my case, remember you're programmed to do what gets you the most energy.

I found out with one big guy the hard way and spent two years on probation (I got lucky) to find out a simple restraining order would have done the same thing.

Don't worry, every time I met with the DA I had a whole list of trouble he was getting into to report.

I had to fire my public defender and a friend talked to the DA.

Im not religious so the observation does not offend me but I have raised this type of question with religious people before. The way it was explained to me is that they don't hate the person, they hate the sin. Judgment is reserved for the person and their maker. Even jess famously said "let he without sin, cast the first stone"

No, he wasn't. He was impeached for lying about it under oath.

They are oddly interested in other people's sex lives. Other people is anyone that doesn't help them obtain more power and money.

Evangelicals are a group I have next to no respect for at this point. I know they aren't all like the loud ones, but if you're going to support them, you get dirty like them.

Did Donald Trump campaign on his strong Christian morals and values?

there is no morality within the GOP & very little at all within the Democratic party; America is all about me, me, me, me, me .................... there is no morality within that context ................

That's correct. Clinton hadn't broken any law until then. How long would Trump last under oath?

Same thing for Kelly. There was no problem with him communicating with the Russian ambassador - that was his job. Denying having down it was what got him busted.

As for Trump, about 30 seconds or less. He'd better hope he never gets subpoenaed. The problem is, I'm not even sure he knows he's lying. I think it's become such a pattern of behavior with him that he really believes all the B.S. he spouts.

They're OK with extramarital affairs. It's homosexuality they hate, that and abortion. Those two issues, gay marriage and abortion, seem to dominate evangelical political opinion, and it's the Democrats who have a track record of supporting those two issues, so that makes all Democrats evil and all Republicans good, Christian, and pro family.

Yes, I know it's illogical, but there it is.
