I keep reading about a blue wave and see polls showing that the Dems seem to be ahead in many of the Senate races and the presidency. personally I do not like it when one party owns the legislature and the Presidency, but it could happen in the fall. So what will the/you conservatives do if the blue wave washes over Washington?

They will probably buy into Trump propaganda of a rigged election and be really pissed.

Same thing everybody does. Wait 4 years and then run a better candidate.

If it were anybody besides Trump, he'd be up 10 percentage points ahead of Joe Biden right now, not 10 percentage points behind Joe Biden.

Is there anyone with a working brain that actually believes Biden is actually ahead?

What would I do? Pray for America.

Don't tell anyone, but the Trump campaign has kept stats of who shows up at Trump rallies.

Roughly 25% independents, 30% non-voting Republicans and 20% Democrats, sometimes more Dems. That means Trump is tapping into a huge part of the country that were angry at both parties.

Those are numbers that terrify honest Democrats; an oxymoron, but one will occasionally tell the truth off the record.

They have compiled email lists and are seeking an army of volunteers.

On top of that, primary turnout for Trump set records, despite no rival.

Liberal heads are going to explode again in November.

I just don't want you to be surprised come November.

You're under the assumption that the GOP will run a better candidate in 4 years if Trump loses.

The political party will try to go back to nominating the Romney's and the Kasich's, but the radical GOP base may want something different.

They are already laying down that narrative. "The Dems are cheatin'! We ain't gone' let them steal this election away frum us like we did them in 2016!"

Heck, Trump layed down that narrative in 2016, even after he won. He even had his minions do a phony investigation, which led to nothing of course.

If he loses? All hell will break loose.

I think that's why the party won't ever be 100% the way it was before. It's split. It's like 75% Trump, 25% normal, but I think it may take years for the two to get back under the umbrella - if ever.

I couldn't agree more, and the armed guards in the streets in DC are proof of that, if nothing else.

He's letting us know how this will play out if he loses.

same thing i have done for the last 40 years

earn money, invest money, spend time with my family, and worry very little about politics

i spend money on local and state politics, because that affects me...and my business

i havent given to a national person or party since Ross Perot....

may send a few letters to my congressmen with a few ideas....nothing more

Go fishing.

And laugh at all the die hard party hacks here on DP eat each other like I do right now.

The conservatives will cry, drink a few beers, sleep it off, and go to work.

Eh, the party was going downhill rapidly even before Trump. Trump is the result of years of radical right wing politics all starting from when Gingrich came onto the scene, as well as racial politics (southern strategy) the GOP has used in the various political campaigns in the past. Things got really bad during the Obama years when the GOP and it's media told their base that Obama was a foreign born Muslim with a fake certificate who hated white people, wanted to take away their guns, was a communist/socialist, terrorist sympathizer, etc. All of that built up hatred resulted in well known opportunistic con man Donald Trump jumping on the birther bandwagon in 2011, and well the rest is history.

That political party will end up imploding in the near future, and who knows what ends up rising out of the rubble when that happens. I'm rooting for the sane moderates, but at this point I'm not sure if they have the power over the party they once had. Trump's rise may have changed that.

He'll tell his base to "LIBERATE!" in blue states if he loses, like he did recently with regards to protesting Dem Governors.

See #4.

I was right about the 2016 election, on this site some of my comments predicting it may still exist. This time I am ten times more confident that Trump will be reelected in a landslide and The GOP will own both the house and senate.

You Leftist have no idea how disgusted the Average American Folks are with you and the Democrat Party. All the chaos and hysteria manufactured over the last few years meant to take down Trump is not being blamed on him, we are blaming you.

Keep in mind, the polls you cite are almost all conduced or commissioned by people who fanatically hate Trump, and they know the election is still far enough away that they wont catch heat for the ridiculously bad results.

First cry on election night, then call for impeachment before the new president is sworn in, scream at the sky on inauguration day, dress up in a plastic ***** costume, and demand a new investigations every few months.

Just joking I'm not going to act like a Democrat.

As it stands now I have no intentions to vote for either Trunp or Biden. So I will do what I do every election cycle move on with life and try to live it as happily and successfully as possible despite who is in the WH.

Is there anyone with a working brain that actually believes Biden is actually ahead?

Yes. Pretty much all the polls. Including the latest from Fox.

I think what you are really asking is 'Does anyone believe the media's politically biased 'push' narrative of their preferred political outcome', as well as 'Does anyone believe the left biased polling results'.

Encouraged that the answer is no. The same lack of response to polling that elected Trump continues to be the wild card which the pollsters can't quantify, 'cause those whom they poll aren't telling them anything, yet will go to the polls and vote come election day.

Rather hilarious that these simple concepts and realities continue to escape much of the left's much bragged about so called 'superior' intellect. :lamo
The mere fact that it did, and does, and continues to, make all that 'superior' intellect braggadocio little more than wishful thinking.

Oh good, another post to save for November.

Does Fox "News" fanatically hate Trump? Because their May 17-20 poll has Biden up by eight.

Why should the Republican response to losing an election be any different than a Democrat's response to losing an election?

Two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has added the 2018 Georgia gubernatorial race to the list of elections she believes were stolen from Democrats, which is quite the turnaround for the woman who said in 2016 that it is “a direct threat to our democracy” to even question the outcome of a U.S. election.
Hillary Clinton once claimed that questioning US election results was a threat to democracy; guess what she's doing now?

So how come Democrats continue to claim that every election they lose the election is rigged, stolen, and the Republican that does win the election is illegitimate, somehow.

1) Polls at this far before an election are meaningless.

2) Most are taken of registered voters, giving Biden a few points he won't actually get.

3) This is a very difficult time, so Trump's numbers have faded, but will recover.

4) Republicans always gain strength when their ads overcome months and months and months of garbage propaganda from the corrupt liberal MSM.

They usually rise 5, 6, 7 points in the last two weeks before the election.
