Jesus and the apostles gave warning of such future events, events that began happening even before John's death and continued after...how many read Jesus' words, without understanding the gist of what he meant? Guess you are one of many...
“Be on the watch for the false prophets who come to you in sheep’s covering, but inside they are ravenous wolves. By their fruits you will recognize them. Never do people gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles, do they?" Matthew 7:15,16
"Many false prophets will arise and mislead many;" Matthew 24:11
"However, there also came to be false prophets among the people, as there will also be false teachers among you. These will quietly bring in destructive sects, and they will even disown the owner who bought them, bringing speedy destruction upon themselves." 2 Peter 2:1
"Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired statement, but test the inspired statements to see whether they originate with God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world." 1 john 4:1
A) Jesus also said
“there will be some here today who will not know death before I come into my kingdom.”
Which was 2000 years ago and ain’t no first century judean still running around..
And to Jesus and first century Christian’s Jesus kingdom is on earth after his second coming..
B) the OT repeatedly says “ Never change my a laws and any one who tells you otherwise is a charlatan.
Like 2,000 times it says that..
Then Jesus comes along and says, “ I have not come to change the laws”...
Then Paul decides that the laws are no longer a requirement.. because of gentile donations maybe??
