How Convenient is it that the Religions Based on Judaism all claim their book is the last one coming

Jesus and the apostles gave warning of such future events, events that began happening even before John's death and continued after...how many read Jesus' words, without understanding the gist of what he meant? Guess you are one of many...

“Be on the watch for the false prophets who come to you in sheep’s covering, but inside they are ravenous wolves. By their fruits you will recognize them. Never do people gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles, do they?" Matthew 7:15,16

"Many false prophets will arise and mislead many;" Matthew 24:11

"However, there also came to be false prophets among the people, as there will also be false teachers among you. These will quietly bring in destructive sects, and they will even disown the owner who bought them, bringing speedy destruction upon themselves." 2 Peter 2:1

"Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired statement, but test the inspired statements to see whether they originate with God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world." 1 john 4:1

A) Jesus also said

“there will be some here today who will not know death before I come into my kingdom.”

Which was 2000 years ago and ain’t no first century judean still running around..

And to Jesus and first century Christian’s Jesus kingdom is on earth after his second coming..

B) the OT repeatedly says “ Never change my a laws and any one who tells you otherwise is a charlatan.

Like 2,000 times it says that..

Then Jesus comes along and says, “ I have not come to change the laws”...

Then Paul decides that the laws are no longer a requirement.. because of gentile donations maybe??

Wrong..."among you" means within the congregation...

So what year was and who should we thank for the modern swap to a kinder , gentler Christianity..

For 1900 years they all had it wrong, right. Well what year and who got it right to spread it across the globe?

Wrong...Jesus Christ and his apostles, through God's Word, gave me the Christianity I have today...

What work of Jesus and the apostles have you read that was not 100% in the unchallenged domaine of the Catholic Church for over a thousand years???

Nothing you have ever read was not translated and interpreted by the Catholic Church for centuries.

From 1870 onward, God’s people began to get organized as a group. It was in that year that Charles T. Russell and his associates formed a Bible study class. Brother Russell and his close associates acted as the foretold messenger who ‘cleared up a way’ before the Messianic Kingdom was established. (Mal. 3:1) God’s people could once again be identified! Were there any world powers on the scene that would have a significant impact on God’s servants? Consider the following facts.

Not true...

The canon of the Hebrew Scriptures was established by the end of the fifth century B.C.E. According to Jewish tradition, the skilled scribe and inspired Bible writer Ezra began the work, and it was completed by Nehemiah. (Ezr 7:6, ftn.) The writing of the Christian Greek Scriptures was completed during the time that the gifts of the spirit were operative on Christ’s followers. (Joh 14:26; Re 1:1)Some Christians had the gift of “discernment of inspired expressions.” (1Co 12:10) Thus, they could, without referring the matter to a supposed church council, determine which of the letters the congregation received were inspired of God. With the death of John, the last apostle, this reliable chain of divinely inspired men came to an end. Therefore, with the book of Revelation, John’s Gospel, and his three letters, the Bible canon was closed. The testimony of later, noninspired writers is valuable only as an acknowledgment of the Bible canon, which God’s spirit had guided and authorized.

BWAHAHAHAHA

Your post literally just posted a quote that said, “some people have the super power of being able to tell what scriptures are “real” because of magic.”

PS...

No historian thinks ANY book of the Bible was written in the life time of the apostles, with the exception of Paul’s letters, like 40 years later..

The gospels claiming to be accounts from the life of Jesus were not written until at least 70 years after the crucifixion..

No critical scholars think the gospels were written by the people they are named after and half of Paul’s letters are known forgeries.. the other half are his..

Plus the end of mark is a known forgery..

All still included in the cannon But that just poops all over any chance of divine intervention..

Thinking about it further, something else that poops on your little,

“magic people could tell they were real because , magic”

Paul’s letters, were Paul arguing with the establishment of the day over church doctrine.. the establishment of the day, 40 years after the crucifixion, would have likely been the still living apostles , including potentially Jesus’s own brother .

Logically, the thought that ANYONE would believe Paul over the people who actually knew Jesus in life, is just mind boggling to me..

Well it is the path of least resistance if your trying to justify relaxing/abolishing Jewish law to better expand Christianity, but come on...

Some idiot who comes up claiming to have had visions of Jesus, trumps the actual apostles?!?

Come on...

Nothing magic involved...God's holy spirit is though...

What about the fact Paul was arguing with the establishment of the day, which almost certainly would have been the apostles and those who actually knew him personally???

What about posting fiction...lol...the record at Acts 9:20-25 describes Paul’s spending time with the disciples in Damascus and “immediately” beginning to preach in the synagogues there...in Galatians, Paul found that the brothers there did not believe that he was a disciple....Barnabas came to his aid and led him to the apostles, evidently Peter and James, the brother of Jesus...James, though not one of the 12, could be designated as an apostle because of being such for the Jerusalem congregation...for 15 days Paul stayed with Cephas/Peter..Acts 9:26-30; Galatians 1:18-21..

A) watch those verses be from the books that are known forgeries..

B) who do you think Paul was arguing with saying that Christians did not have to obey Jewish law??

Before Paul they did..

After Paul they did not..

The people who knew Jesus personally said Christians did have to follow Jewish law, Paul said they did not..

You thought wrong...

“Do not think I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I came, not to destroy, but to fulfill." Matthew 5:17

fulfill - bring to completion or reality; achieve or realize (something desired, promised, or predicted

Do you understand what "bring to completion" means?

follow through, finish, finish off, bring to the end, complete, conclude, consummate, pursue see through

What is another word for "bring to completion"?

A) that is the most politician speak thing in history...

“I have not come to change the laws, I have come to fulfill the laws by changing them.””

Suuuurrrreee..

Lol

Or it could be that Jesus thought he was A JEWISH MESSIAH, (as depicted in Mark the only gospel ANY critical scholar thinks even has a chance of tracing back to an actual eyewitness, even second hand.)... and jesus had zero intention of a new religion popping up in his rear view mirror..

Jesus almost certainly wasn’t there to change any laws and all of that stuff was added later by people like Paul who never even met the guy..

Probably because they wanted to tap into that virgin gentile tithing market..

Where in the definition of “completion” does it say ,

Jesus= “oh and totally disregard what I said previously about me not changing any laws... fulfill means to change the laws....

I have no idea why I added that part about me not changing the laws at the beginning..”

The Jews invented the God, It is theirs.
Granted, they got info from the Summarians and others, but
They are the ones who packaged and sold the product.
They have the patient on it.

The Christians stole the God,
Added more Gods to it, changed the rules,
And turned on the Jews.

Then the Muslims stole the God.
Eliminated the Christian Gods,
Added their own prophet,
changed the rules again,
And turned on the Jews and Christians.

Now god is either a wishy/washy schizophrenic, who simply cannot make up his mind, or
They are different Gods.
