Here is one of mine, but first:

Not really a hymn, but .....

Some Christmas songs have one beautiful stanza, but are otherwise not that good. Silent Night is one of them.

Silent night, holy night
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
Born to give redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord at Thy birth

Unfortunately, I rarely hear this stanza because it is the second and people often like to only sing the first.

I love O Come All Ye Faithful, Joy to the World, and Hark the Herald Angels Sing. On the secular side, you can't go wrong with Jingle Bell Rock by Amy Grant.

I like this one:

Maria durch ein Dornwald ging ....

"Maria durch ein Dornwald ging" (English: "Maria walks amid the thorns", or "Mary walked through a wood of thorn") is a German Christmas carol. By origin it was not an advent but a pilgrimage song that initially was spread verbally in the 19th century, starting in the catholic Eichsfeld.

In case you are surprised that I am posting a Christmas Hymn now:

For me the Christmas season lasts until Candlemas on the 2nd of February.
