How come I haven't heard back from you? Too challenging? Here is my response to both questions, again:
Question 1: Cougarbear: Hi Babykat, Jesus did set up his Church 2,000 years ago. He gave Prophets, Apostles, Evangelists, Teachers, Priests and so on. He also established the 70 to minister throughout the world. He even established a Presidency with Peter, James and John and stating that revelation would go through Peter as Prophet, seer and revelator. All in the New Testament. Matt. 16:18; Luke 6:12 - 16; Luke 10:1; John 15:16; Acts 1:25; Acts 6:6; Acts 13:1; Acts 15:6; Eph 2:20; Eph 4:11 and of course Paul visited many of the Churches Jesus had established in other parts of the old world.
Question 2: Cougarbear: The Lord and his apostles taught what it takes to reach salvation, eternal life and exaltation. He gave these for the edification of the saints or members of His Church as he said in Eph 4:11 -12, " And he gave some, apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. He gave other callings like bishops, elders and high priests as well. All for the ministry to help us know the path of salvation and exaltation. With that said, it is up to us to find the true teachers, priests, elders, bishops, apostles, 70's and prophets.
No not to hard. I have been working 84 hours a week for the last couple of weeks.
