Proverbs 1:32 "For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them."
Proverbs 1:22 "How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?"
Proverbs 22:3 "A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.'
The simple.... Could they be 'simple' because they continue to say within themselves, 'There is no evil.. There is no bad.. All is well'?
And if they think this, then surely, they themselves can do no wrong either, right?
And then sometimes, because of this, they wonder how their checking account got depleted...
You try to explain to them that there are some 'corrupt' ones out there and they are in amazement to hear such things. Even in their own Countries.
And that is why there is (J)esus Christ. So that such 'simple ones' can rest in the Goodness of Christ while bearing fruit unto The Glory of His Father.
Kind of like 'simplicity' as it was but with a Promised assurance.
