He of course drank wine

Which was not non alcoholic at the time. Probably not high in alcohol content but it still had it

Everyone drank booze. Most of it was under 5% by volume...it was, at times, the only safe thing to drink.

Drinking alcohol moderately, isn't forbidden. Remember the wedding, when Jesus turned water into wine?

What about their suppers (Jesus had used wine as a metaphor to his blood during the last supper they had).......that doesn't mean that that was the only time they had wine with their meals.

Jesus was a Nazarene (native of Nazareth)......not a "Nazarite." He never took the Nazarite vow.

Yes, wine during the time of Jesus can make you drunk, otherwise there will be no need to be warned against it.
Look at the verses about drunkenness. Wine during those time might even be more potent - like "moonshine?"
Would they have had regulations about wine-making in those days?

Here's an interesting read:

Of course he did...he had wine in the evening before his death...

topic is not if he lived .............

Whether or not he existed is a fundamental premise of the topic. No matter how many periods you use.

One cannot consume wine if they do not exist, one cannot address the question without presuming that he did.

Medusa I have no idea what your intent is in starting this poll. But I will tell you many followers of Yesuha Jesus use real wine in their communion services throughout the world as well as unleavened bread..

I would like to ask you do you know the significance of using unleavened bread in their communions?

Partaking in wine in itself is no sin. But anything that is abused like "wine" to the point of drunkenness becomes a sin. Everything I have studied the abuse of anything is unacceptable in the eyes of G-d.

What good is having the power to turn water into wine if you aren’t going to drink it? ;)

Good question!

And of course Jesus enjoyed a good red wine!
There is no doubt about that!

the most important question is whether he chilled it or drank at room temperature...

We may not be sure whether Jesus was a normal human being or a God.

But we can be sure of two things:
He enjoyed a good wine - and he was no snob!

Yeah, trial and error taught ancient civilizations that it was not a good idea to consume anything that wasn't either alcoholic, cooked or boiled. Most drinks in ancient times were fortified with alcohol before serving for purposes of sterilization.
