My sister just had lumbar fusion surgery. She survived, but is in a lot of pain in recovery and they're having a hard time getting it under control.

If you are so inclined, any prayers for an alleviation of her suffering would be appreciated.


We're hoping this will help her have something like a normal life again....

Her husband and daughter were allowed in to see her just now. They've got her reasonably comfortable now, if heavily medicated.

The first period after post-op is apparently the worst, but when she's fully recovered we hope she'll have a lot less pain.

Let her know too that a whole lot of people in another country whom she will never likely meet are praying for her as well.

There is a prayer request thread already established in the theology forum. Not sure why you didn't post your request there but Goshin I will keep your sister in my prayers. I just went through watching my own brother suffer through pain. May the LORD intervene.

I think my co workers mom had this surgery. I hope she recovers soon, and I will pray for her.
 
She came home today and seems to be doing pretty good; we're optimistic this will help her have a more normal life with less pain.
