I have been using online forums almost as long as they have been around and never used the ignore function...until now. For my own sanity and blood pressure I have started using it on the most hyper-partisan and vitriolic of our members.

It works fine but I still see all the threads started by people on my ignore list and don't realize it until I click on the thread. Is there a way to include the threads themselves in the ignore feature? Thanks!

Don't subscribe to them. If you find you've posted there, go to the user control panel and unsubscribe.
Hyperpartisanship and vitriol can be entertaining, though, as long as you don't take it seriously.

Don't bother with any of the Steve Scalise shooting threads. They're all swirling in the hyper-partisan toilet.

I too am in the same situation, my ignore list has grown quite large, most of them hyper partisan Trump supporters, who joined post Nov 2016.

No need to worry, as the investigations provide results they will slither back to the sewers.
