How old are they?

Also you could try to install a different UI. Nova Launcher is recommend, as it is fast and has tons of functions that make an old phone new. There is a free version that does a lot, but if you want the bells and whistles, then you need to pay a small fee. Worth it tbh, as the launcher works on all Android devices and there is no real limit on how many places you use it (at least I have not hit any).

If you prefer the stock Samsung/LG, then I suggest shutting off animations. A how too is below.. pretty much universal.

Sadly older Samsungs have Touchwiz, which is almost as bad as iTunes for Windows.. programming wise. Replacing touchwiz does wonders for the speed of your device.

It's a Galaxy Note 4. Oddly, this site is by far the worst for me.

err okay is this in the browser? There is a difference between lag in a browser and overall lag on a phone.

I have (still) an S4 phone. When mine acts up like that, I clear the cache out. Not app by app, the whole thing.

In the browser. And so far your suggestion has worked on both my phone and my Tablet.

Thanks,

Fingers crossed.

Ahh so you are typing in a browser... well yea okay now I understand. Normally I would say it was the browser that was bad, but of course the typing part is not part of the browser but part of the OS. Funny enough, had a similar problem with the new iPad yesterday..
