Why am I getting these notifications at two separate emails, since I have that shut off in my settings? It's very annoying. These notifications represent someone quoting me.

Did you check Default Thread Subscription Mode????

It was through the control panel. Now it's do not subscribe.

Have you tried deleting the email address and adding it, if needed later? I see you mention having 2??

Deleting it from where?

Under email & password. You mentioned having 2 emails- is 1 for PM?? or 2 regular emails addresses like Gmail and such??

I have one email address on DP, but I'm getting these notifications at my other email address too. It's mindboggling. Understand, I've made no setting changes before your suggestion for years; and these notifications started coming for no reason.

I am only guessing, but this must be an old email that you registered with DP?? If not do you have auto forwarding on in 1 email account?
Perhaps delete the email address, then go to general setting and turn off all email notifications.
Wait a tad before enabling these again.
Just guessing?????

Yes, forwarding from the non-DP email address to the DP email address.

Are those the 2 accounts you are receiving emails that you mention in the OP??
Or are you receiving email at another regular email (non DP)account??
If so remove auto forward.
