2010-2011 NHL Thread

Just starting to get into Hockey. I wish Seattle had a time.

So Peter Forsberg is playing tonight against the Blue Jackets, should be interesting.

at least not currently.

If he was in colorado he could witness the fosberg fiasco that is about to unfold.

Saw a comment the other night: "I think of Forsberg as a prolific scorer. But today I checked, and the last time he got 20 goals in a season was 8 years ago."

I don't care what you guys say, watching Forsberg play is just cool.

I was watching the pregame for the Bruins game tonight against the Red Wings and I didn't realize that the Bruins lead the league in fights. They had 92 penalty minutes Weds and the Canadians had 90.

That game was insane, I didn't know they could cram that many people in the box at one time.

I was switching between that game and the Duke/UNC game. This week has literally had a rivalry game for me every day beside today. Monday- BU/BC Men Hockey, Tuesday- BU/BC Women Hockey, Weds- Duke/UNC and Bruins/Canadians, and last night Celtics/Lakers. Oddly enough my teams only won on Weds, although Ray Allen did break the 3 point record last night.

First college hockey I ever saw was BU/BC in the Beanpot. Was great! Would have been in the late 70's I think.

Wings dominating the Bruins tonight, Datsyuk is showing why he is so valuable even when not scoring.

First game in college I went to Freshman year was BU/BC. I felt like such an outcast because we didn't have hockey in SC and I didn't know what was going on really. A few times I clapped for BC by mistake and people around me just glared.

I had a feeling the Bruins would get trashed tonight. So much energy went into the Canadians game that the Bruins just aren't there tonight. Hopefully, Sunday we can get our revenge, because I don't see a comeback happening tonight down 4.

Big win for the Thrash tonight, hopefully we can get on a roll down the stretch.

Also, did anyone else see that hockey game that broke out during the Islanders/Penguins brawl?

I wonder how many suspensions will come down from that one. Just unreal stuff. Pitt is going to probably loose a guy for 10 games, which with all the injuries they have is not a good thing.

Not probably, will, what Godard did is an automatic 10 gamer, and Bylsma will also be suspended, and fined because of that, and that is only that one incident. I hope the NHL comes down hard on that guy mocking the injured player, just classless, that I would only expect out of the worst common denominators of the league like Cooke, Avery.

Which city is closest to you? Anaheim, San Jose, or LA?

Suck, more suck and piled higher and suckier. Seriously, Vancouver is the way to go.

I concur with this for this season, but LA has a great young core, SJ is on the brink(though they are every year), and Anaheim has stayed strong even through a semi rebuild.

Right now Kabul. Closest to my Home station is L.A. The closest to my home of Seattle ( the only teams that matter LOL) I don't know. ( Also I hate anything to do with L.A.)

Wings beat Boston again. Hopefully with the players coming back from injury and Babcock going off on them they start to pull it back together and stop laying .500 hockey,

San Jose is around San Fran so I believe that would be the closest,

hopefully....the wings for the last several years, seem to have that stretch of 10-12 games in the second half of the season where they just look totally flat and disinterested....i think they have another cup in them, but they need to get it together or nashville will smack them around if they meet in the playoffs.
