A story on pagesix.com alleges that Cavallari increasingly found Cutler to be “lazy” and “unmotivated,” as her Uncommon James business and “Very Cavallari” reality show took off.

According to the story, Cutler preferred just hanging out on the family farm with their three children. ESPN and CBS have reportedly been courting the former Chicago Bears quarterback for a post as an NFL on-air analyst.

This guy was gifted with amazing talent. What a waste.

Amazing talent? When I think of Jay Cutler the first thing that cones to my mind is the time he screwed me in a fantasy game when he threw five interceptions in a November, 2009 game against the 49ers. The 49ers were coming off a four-game losing streak, but all it took that day was 10 points over da Bars 6, which they sealed with a Cutler pick in the end zone as time expired. :doh Yeah, what a waste.

He retired and is now living off the fat of the land.

I've watched Cavaleri's show and she and her husband were constantly fighting...he was laid back and she was always on the go-go-go. So I'm not surprised they're getting divorced.

Jay is better off without her. I had to rebuke Mike Turico for criticizing Cutler for not returning the 49ers' owner's phone calls. Cutler told the boss that if he were shopped again without prior notification he would demand a trade.

The boss did, and Cutler was motivated to demand a trade and refused to talk to the boss.

Good on him.

I haven't followed his career...so is that why he's not working anymore? I thought he got injured or too old or something like that.

From what I understand she gave up her career to support his and then when he retired he was supposed to support her career. But from what I saw on the show it didn't appear that he was that into her career especially after it became a reality TV show.

In terms of physical gifts, he was a bigger Patrick Mahomes. Skillwise, he had the whole package. What he didn't have was the it factor.

AS you say, a waste, but a well rewarded one.

He had the arm and physical ability. He just seemed to try to force too many passes. Too often his decisions sucked. And, yeah, he was well-rewarded until people figured out he was all show and no go.

I just watched a couple of videos on Cavaleri's show... I feel sorry for Jay. My brain cells are fried listening to her.

That store is being run by idiots.

Yup, all show and no go: with 35,000 yards and 260 TDs in 12 years. Go try to sell the Brooklyn Bridge. You will have better luck.

He shoulda feigned greater incompetence.

This show is trash, but oddly addicting. That company is a disaster. They literally do not know how to fold a box. And when they do ship something to a customer, it is an empty box.

I'll try. I suppose he could have aspired to be Joe Flacco. That yardage puts him at 230 YPG, which seems rather pedestrian. Andy Dalton, hardly a screamer, has him beat at that stat. Dalton made the Pro Bowl three times. Cutler? Once, in 2008. His passer rating of 85.3 looks rather limpy compared to the best QBs. His saving grace was he played a lot because, like the Great Pumpkin, there was always the hope the real Jay Cutler would finally arrive and give presents to all of the boys and girls.

I think so, too. LOL Most of them don't even seem to know what their jobs are...and that's what they fight about.

Give it up. He survived for twelve years as a pro, so peddle it elsewhere, please.

That doesn’t matter. She rakes in the cash.

A buddy of mine is in the same boat as Jay. He works all day and takes care of the household at night because his old lady brings home most of the bacon: 250 a year, from what I hear. She calls him “unmotivated” because he only makes a 100.

Funny is when he makes fun of her for being incompetent as both mother and functional wife. His latest bitch is she feeds his kid Doritos for dinner on the one night he goes out to golf and then complains when he gets home, saying it’s his fault for falling down on the job.

I suggested making food ahead of time that the two of them could heat up. His reply is that he tried that but she’s too indifferent to bother using a microwave. My guess is that marriage is sliding down a rat hole fast.

****, if i had spent twelve years (plus what led up to that) playing concussionball, i'd get out while i was ahead and lounge around on the farm, too. i made it four years (non-professional, of course) before i had my fill of it.

Cutler had all the talent in the world, he just didn't love playing the game, so he was never able to take that talent to the next level. And that's not really an indictment of Cutler, a lot of pro football players don't really love playing the game.

I honestly had to look up who that is.

LOL you watch that show?:lamo

I watched the recap. It is intriguing. Jay Cutler's wife runs a jewelry store in Tennessee. Employers show up at random times. They ship about 10 empty boxes to customers a week. They have 3 people handling shipping and still cannot get it right.

I dont know anything about her but that article title makes her sound like a condescending bitch.
1.I would be interested in seeing how much each of them has made during their marriage and put the mubers inyo context. Im guess jay has put a lot more into thevfamily than she has.
2. What if his interest is in being a father and a homemaker. You can add misandrist to the list of things she is.
3. The guy has spent decades beating up his body. Maybe he wants to take a few years off to heal and to figure out how to adjust to not being an NFL celebirity.

She sounds like a grade A gold digger and men should avoid her like the plauge.
