Would you give the same slack to somebody who unapologetically defended Adolf Hitler?

Just because something is right doesn't make it legal, either.

Yes, as long as it doesn't cause harm or violence or constitute hate speech which causes harm as well as incites violence, even though I may be in vehement opposition to what is said.

So should people who admire Adolf Hitler and deny the Holocaust be held up as exemplary figures?

Hitler wasn't an ally of the US in WW2. He was the enemy. Stalin was our friend until he wasn't.

Do you understand how that maybe led to a lag in reaction among many, especially those who already had very good reasons to distrust the US government--you know--like Black people who were without question treated as lesser citizens?

    This isn't hard, Tiger.

No. Robeson was not exemplary to me nor 99.9% of Americans. He was, though, an example of someone who was discriminated against because he was black, regardless of his Communism, in the context of my OP and the topic. Now, answer my question, if you are honest and forthright. Or, just runaway. Then, we can get back on topic.

Apparently the only people who can criticize America are white people like the MAGAt Trumpers. They can say how ****ty everything is for privileged white guy, even to the point of storming a state capital while bearing assault rifles, without anyone on the Right batting an eye. But, when Rev Wright points out how ****ty everything in America is for people of color..."Quick! Bring out the rope."
