NFL Playoffs

If you read this thread, you'll see a lot of posters here agreeing with *my* points, not yours.

But hey, we're used to meeting arrogant and condescending Patriots fans.

It will be lots of fun to see the fall from grace when you finally realize that your dynasty is over and your QB is in steep decline.

It will be lots of fun to continue to enjoy Super Bowls without the Patriots, for the next several years. Then, it will become less likely to read arrogant and condescending posts authored by Patriots fans.

I find that reading your posts is a huge waste of time. I don't really care for reading arrogant and condescending stuff. Sports banter is fun, but like you do it, it is not. Therefore, I'm moving you to my Ignore list. I'm sure you'll want to say something else, which is futile and ridiculous because I won't be reading it. I pity you; when your team sinks even further down in the next seasons, your awakening will be painful. Some might thing that it would be fun to come back here, once it happens, and make you eat crow, but nah, I don't really care, not even for saying "I told you so", therefore, Ignore list is the way to go. Have a nice life. Over and out. :2wave:

I hope that is the case. Otherwise the 28 year old QB will have to go. "No time for losers" if you want to be "Champion of the World".

Calling Jimmy G. a loser is too much. After all, he is the NFC Champion. He did take his team to the Super Bowl. This is an accomplishment in itself, and is not what losers do.

Only another QB went to the SB this season: Mahomes.

So, if Jimmy G. is a loser, what should we say of all the other 30 starting quarterbacks behind him, who did not get to the SB?

I agree - the emotionless and ruthless cheating genius coach is getting old. His QB is nearly finished. The damnable luck of 28 point comebacks, idiotic Seahawk passes on the one yard line, and misapplied Tuck rules is over. I'm looking forward to the burial of the Patriot's and their relegation to grainy, color faded nostalgia films.

NE represents Satan, and its underworld must be destroyed. Better yet, the stadium should be razed to the ground, the earth salted so nothing will grow, and the management sold off into slavery.

Only then will a new dawn light the sky of football-dom. And I can go to my grave a happy man.

Trent Dilfer won a superbowl, and no one questions that he was a loser. The only difference is Dilfer was a lucky loser, Jimmy G was not.

I have not given up on JG...but the clock is running for a 28 yr old. Next year he can either rise to the challenge, and be the QB scrambler and thrower they hoped for or be consigned to the dust bin of 49er history.

We've had enough of the Garcia's and Alex Smiths.

LOL, pretty funny [even if maybe you're being sarcastic; one never knows]

Sure, but remember, the Niners were 4-12 last season. From this, to what they've accomplished this season, it's a lot of progress, so, I'd hold any judgment that JG is a loser.

Of course he is not a "loser." And, the SF Defense is damned good too. They did, after all, shut down the most dangerous QB in the league for 3-1/2 quarters. But, they could not bottle him up forever---guys do get tired---and Mahomes proved why he is the best QB in the league during that final 6 minutes or so of the game.

I agree. Mahomes won the game rather than JG losing the game. It was admirable for the Niners to contain him for so long, but yes, he has a lot of stamina and athleticism and explosiveness and it is hard to contain him forever, then suddenly the Niners' defense, already tired, allowed 21 points in less than five minutes, when facing a brilliant, brilliant QB.

And people go and blame the other QB... The one who wasn't on the filed when those 21 points were scored.

Unreal...

So "Jimmy G" took HIS team to the SB but he's not responsible for his poor showing in the 4th quarter that lost the game?

He had his team up by ten points in that 4th Quarter. Looks to me like the Defense lost that game.

Looks to me like the had the time to win and missed repeatedly.

Giving up 21 points in 5 minutes is not on the quarterback of the 49'ers. It's on their defense.

I mean it’s certainly part of it. Falcons got hit with the same with thing in 2016. If you don’t get first downs on offense you exhaust your defense and don’t run down the clock.

I agree it was a joint effort. But, it must also be acknowledged that the KC defense and offense had a lot to do with it.

It's mostly on the coach. Up ten points, the tortoise tried to be the hare and the game sped up and got out of control. I heard Honey Badger said, "thank God they stopped running".

Samuel was killing them with that reverse. It looked like he'd picked up 16 yards each carry, on average.
